It's been hard for us this year. Especially since no one has a regular job since my father retired, we don't know where or how to make ends meet. For example right now, enrollment is almost over, and my 2 sisters and niece still haven't been enrolled yet. I'm hoping we'll receive some money by next week.
How's the crisis affecting your life right now?

It's hard to find any kind of job right now, but it's especially difficult to find a job if you're still in college and have limited availability and not a lot of experience. I got a temporary position as a cashier at a major retail store, but that's over in two weeks, and I have no idea where to turn next. Since there's more competition for jobs, even jobs that used to be considered "unskilled" are making their requirements stricter. I can't find anything that doesn't require a college degree or several years of experience.

Global financial crisis really a terrible thing to many people. I think no one gain advantages from this crisis. Fortunately my job is safe from the crisis because my company is a giant oil company. But i'm concerned with people who lost their job during this crisis. But let's try to be positive thinking. It's time for self reflection. We can't wait for this crisis ending, because there's no ends for this situation. This crisis is economic correction. Good luck for you and have a nice day. Happy mylotting.

Hey,
Well I can't really feel the financial crisis that much, mainly because I am still living with my parents and they provide me with most of my things for me. But right now I am looking for a job, and I really can't find one. Make sure you have a good day, God bless and Happy Lotting!!

Well, I'm still living with my parents as well. But it's much more difficult than it ever was, you know? It's not like we leave everything up to them. Somehow we feel that there's more struggle, that the bills are almost due, the internet connection cut, etc. That was one reason I searched for a job as well. We're doing better now, but that is because we sold our van. We can't buy diesel for it anyway.
Anyway, goodluck on your job search. I hope you find one soon. God bless you too!

Yeah, here in America it's eating into my family.
About three months ago, I answered a similar question, and at that time, the crisis really wasn't affecting me personally. I still had a lot of work, still had some extra money, and could still afford to live.
Since that time, however, my family has started to suffer and I've had to help out. The electric bill has gone up, the mortgage has gone up, the insurance has gone up, and the paychecks are staying the same. Well, I think they got that extra $13 for a few weeks, but seriously, $13 won't feed you, cloth you, or keep your water and lights on.
Struggling is one thing, and in my family it's something we're very used to. But to turn on the TV and see the GM crap and see all these other companies getting money and to hear our president Obama when he says that the money is for US, it adds insult to injury. We're not stupid; we know that money isn't for regular people. Some are still brainwashed. To those people, I urge you to please do things for yourself. Do whatever you can do for YOU, and don't wait around to see if someone else will fix things for you.
GL to everyone. :-)

Hello, young friend, sorry, I am an easy going and playful old guy, I meant by saying "funny" to you was that OF COURSE WE DID get the similar situation so that no need anymore for us to rise any question... I told that we are going to sell our vehicle meant that we are in financial trouble that we have to sell our only one car BUT we thought many times because the bit was to low and we afraid we can not buy vehiche again next time, and the same condition with our other not very high valued properties, even our credit card bill was more and more bigger. Hi, I saw you come from Phillipine, I visited your country (Manila) two years ago at Pedro Ghil street, I love very much your nice peoples and food, even now I miss SQUID, that was my only once occasion to go abroad, and seemed have no expectation any more. btw thanks for your comment so that I still interested to make a post, the most important was I can still add my post and earning at myLot, see as more than 3 years member I posted only less than 500 and collected only $9.5. mabuhay !

I don't understand how it could be funny. Maybe in your point of view it is, because you're not affected. We are trying to sell our car though, but it's very difficult to find a buyer during this time. Maybe you can buy it from us, since you have no financial problems whatsoever.

The financial crisis right now is affecting my parents more than me. My mom needs to get a job to have insurance. My dad works full time, but his job doesn't provide health insurance. Their current health insurance runs out at the end of the month. So my mom needs to get a job. She has two Master Degrees and still can't find a job that works. I'm just glad they don't have to worry about me (I used to live with them about three years ago and I hated feeling like a burden). I'm in my apartment doing okay. My sister and brother-in-law haven't been affected. I'm grateful that they are doing well. It's nice to know someone in the family doesn't have an uncertain future, you know?

Well sorry to hear that and hope this tough time will be finished sooner. I'm not American but my mother's investment in other share markets has still been severely affected and the book value of all her shares shrinked to less than half of what it was before. Fortunately we've got enough savings in bank account to lead a normal life, but we cancelled several costly travelling plans and spared some money to invest in real estate, which is at the lowest price right now. However my very direct experiences of the economic downturn all came from my close college friends who got totally freaked out by joblessness after graduation. That's really doomed.
