I never pick up a coin in the street, i don t know why, maybe i am shy or maybe i think that somebody will pick up because is his coin. Do you think that a cent is important for you to pick up?Or you really don t like to pick up this coin because you afraid that somebody will see you?

It would depend on its value. If it’s just a cent, I wouldn’t bother, but if it’s a dollar (or the equivalent, which in my case would be a coin of 10 pesos), then most definitely I would pick it up. Not because I need it, but because it’s shiny and it feels good to find money on the street.

I never pick up a coin from any street, eventhough a pin. I still remember my mum use to told me not to pick up anything from the street as the thing has incantation. If you take it, the bad luck will follow you. you will be crazy later. I was quite scare. Until now, I still remember this warning as I scare that I will get crazy. It is good for my future life. When I am an adult now, I know this is steal. No matter you are just pick or take, once it is without people knowledge, it is consider steal. The God will keep an eye on you.

If I actually see someone drop a coin, I will stop them, and let them know that they dropped it. I'll make sure that they get it again. If I just see a coin lying there on the street that I did not see anyone drop, I will pick it up, and keep it. I save up these coins, and put them all in my savings accounts.

we don't pick up coins in the street not because we are honest and won't take something that is not ours ... but because we are shy when someone sees us he will say between him and his self :- look he bends over to pick up this few cents !!! he is beggar ... and because we have a though that everyone who picks coins in the street belongs to the low class people ... am I right ???

I am so broke, that I have to pick them up. Look at me - I am spending five minutes of my time posting for a penny if lucky. I do get embarassed, but one hundred pennies = one dollar, or one hundred quarters = $25. I would not pass picking that up. I am superstitious - I say a poem from my youth: "Find a penny, pick it up, then all day, you'll have good luck." It has to be on heads, or I have to flip it over, lol. I find it less embarassing to be superstitious than to be poor. Some people get metal detectors and find tons of coins, jewelry, etc at beaches, boardwalks, parks, etc. Sometimes I find dropped coins at the market near coinstar machines, or near vending machines, outside the windows at drive-thrus, and people recycle their cans/glasses for three to five cents each. There is money to be made with pocket change. People I know go through dumpsters at apartment complexes and find recyclables and make $100 a day.

I have seen some people accidentally fell frome the purse a few coins, just left a bow saw.Ifa this time,my son is here,I believe he will pick up.If it is 100,no one will be picked? There will certainly is.Really picked up to the police?I have lost money some times,no one time to be brought back. Only one coin in the street,no one can prove whose the money is.Why did no one pick one,and 100 would pick it up?A coin and 100,the nature is the same, but the psychological will vary.

Of course I pick it up. I have literally seen kids teens, throw coins in the street pennies, nickels and dimes. They think it is funny and don't care. It is not always lost. It will lay there until someone picks it up. If it were dollar bills or large bills I would report it to the authorities and hang on to it to see who claims it. First the amount they lost and the denomination of bills. Some will lie to get something they never lost. I actually did this once found a wallet. It has $469 in it in different sized bills. It was the lady's rent for the month. She said the right denominations. She said how much, the kind of bills, the wallet what it looked like. I gave it to her. But two liars tried to get it first and they did not get it. One said they lost $200 and said it was two 100 bills. Another said he lost $95 and both lied. They just wanted to money. They lied about the wallet too. One said he just dropped it on the ground from his groery sack not in a wallet but a bag. I put the notice in the paper. Later my daughter lost her wallet all her school money over $800 and a good person found who it was and had the police call and identify certain things about the wallet and they sent it all back. So doing good gains good in return. But as to coins, a dime, nickel or quarter or even a dollar bill I will pick it up and keep it. Most are not looking for small change.

I some places finding one cent consider a good luck. I pick up cents to keep my good luck. It doesn't have to be about money, just good luck in general. I am sure someone else is collecting all cents that I am loosing everyday... I don't pick up any money if I see who lost the money....I may go after the person and give it back...

If I see a coin on the street I always pick it up. If it is a penny I have a little saying that I say, "Find a penny, pick it up, all day long you'll have good luck."

I am kinda funny about such things. I will only pick it up if it is heads up. If not I won't. I don't care if people see me or not. It is a lucky thing and others can think whatever. Coins interest me. The year and origin of mint. I have even found some mexican and canadian coins of interest. My grandson found an old sqauare coin with a picture on it that we are still trying to find out some history on. Interesting stuff.

I always pick-up coins whenever I see them in the street. They say that an angel drop the coin to remind us that somebody always cares for us and will make us smile. Try to pick up a coin in the street and you will feel happy and eventually smile. That's why I always pick up coins in the street and aside from that it will add up to the money I have in my pocket.

I am one of those people that always picks up those coins! It doesnt matter if it is a penny or a quarter, I will always pick it up! I think this mentality of picking up coins is very different in other countries as opposed to the US. I have noticed in Europe that you hardly ever see any coins on the ground - including 1 cent coins. They tend to see the value in all of their money much more than Americans do!

Hehe, it depends, i will pick it up when there is no one behind or in front of me. If i saw coins in the street it mean that no one has owned it. Sometimes i am shy even there is no one who can see me if i pick it up, because i feel that i deceive the owner of the coins. It is not my money so i don't have to get it even the fact that it is lost in the street.

Hmmm.. well I guess it depends. If I can still return it to the owner I'll pick it up. But if not, I won't because I don't want to have responsibility over the money.

I admit that i pick up coins whenever i see it in the street, either it is cents or bigger amount of coins. If it is not on the street and inside the house or room, definitely i will not pick it up because i am thinking someone owns the coins. Seeing it on the street i think that the owner of that already left the place. I always find coins in the street in cent. And i have already 5PHP, because of 5 cents i pick up.

I have picked up more coins in the road to my school when I was young.I don't find room to feel shy about it.It is not huge money to worry and I had always seen it to be my luck. But now,I don't look for coins as I have grown up.But even now,if I find one,I will take it.Cheers!

They said that finding a coin in the streets are lucky. I've encountered some but never had the guts to pick anything up. Maybe I have the same mindset as yours...I think like there's always somebody who will pick it up...even though I know that it won't happen to be the owner.

I won't pick up the coin because I think it's not good to pick up something that is not mine. Maybe someone else would for other reason, but I wouldn't do that
