In the philippines rainy season are starting in june, i think its been like a week that its been raining, its either in the morning and in the afternoon. The rain really know when your about to go to work or when your about to go home. here, traffic is heavy when its raining so sometimes your on the street waiting for the ride going home and you cannot help it that you sometimes get wet by the rain. My question now, how do you prevent yourself from sickness?

taking in vitamins is a must. it helps your body to build your immunity system from the possibilities of getting sick. you should also be aware of your surroundings...be aware of the airborne diseases. raining may cause adversity for many, but raining also helps clean our air.

yes, we really have to be cautious with airborn diseases, most especially the AH1N1, now that the philippines have the biggest case of this swine flu. we really have to be careful.

i also pity our students because when its raining, its hard for them. Most especially when they go to school with those heavy rains and floods in the street and then when they are almost in the school thats the time the decs will declare the no classes to all levels. parents should make sure that their kids are equip and healthy for them to avoid sickness.

It is the beginning of monsoons here too in India, and it is like a new beginning. There is expectation from everyone. I love rains , but as you say there are some negative points too. It is damp all the time and one longs for some sunshine after a while. there are the usual sickness. I think taking care not to get drenched helps a lot. I make it a point to carry an umbrella everywhere .The usual precautions about drinking safe water and eating safe food should take care of one...

the negative points here in the philippines when it rains are, first, when it rains it flood. as in heavy flood that sometimes vehicle can't pass thru in some streets. second is when it rains, you will experience the heavy traffic. 3rd, when it rains you want to take a cab going home or work, and the cab driver will take advantage, they will not use their meter, they will give you fix amount and not reasonable base in the original fee.

Yesterday the weather is unpredictable and very windy. Now the rain is nonstop I like this weather. The only problem when it is raining is the flood here in our place. Sometimes my mother is very worried and nervous because of the heavy rain. It is the season of flu and another alarming illness are swine flu and dengue. I think we should take vitamin C to boost our immune system during this season.

Flood is the biggest problem here in manila. I dont know why they can't solve this problem. With all those big budgets allotted to Department of highway and yet they never do anything about it. Have you heard that there two cases of swine flu in La Salle. It kinda alarming now that there are lots of cases of AH1N1. i hope our government should do something about it since school are now open.

because of the unexpected rains, i make sure that i have my umbrella in my bag. And yes vitamins c is very good most especially in this season. It will help boost our immune system. and also we make sure that there will be no heavy flooding because we dont want to walk in the flood, because first its dirty and second it will give us another kind of disease.

If you know its the rain season you should always bring umbrella if you go out of the house. So you won't be wet, it also helps if you have a good health condition or you are healthy. Last Wednesday, I went out to enroll in my school in Manila, and I forgot to bring an umbrella because the rain is not that bad in my place. I really regret it, I have no choice but to buy a cheap umbrella to prevent myself from getting wet. Some places are also flooded too, my sneakers got soaked too. I hate the rain.

what you do is to make sure you have umbrella in your bag. or anything that will protect you from the rain. i hate floods in manila, its dirty and sometimes it goes up to your knee. And i also promised it myself that i will follow what i said here. always be ready in the rain.

Rain - raining
Hi there Charlene! You're right. I'm also from the Philippines but it seems that rainy season started a couple of weeks early here in our province. We don't have heavy traffic here though but I don't like rain when I will go outside the house and school starts on Monday so I'm hoping that it won't rain hard. I love the rain so much but only if I will get to stay at home and there won't be a power failure. It didn't rain today but it's really windy. We take extra precaution by having enough sleep and rest, eating healthy and also taking multivitamins or at least vitamin c.

HI, I'm from the Philippines too. Lots of Vitamins, water, and when you do get wet, bathe when you get home. It also helps to bring a change of socks and shoes or just bring slippers. Wear a jacket or two so if you get wet you can remove the top layer. ANd, naturally, don't forget the umbrella.

i buy umbrella the other day, i think that was wednesday, i buy it 50 pesos. I buy cheap umbrella because i always lose my umbrella. so at least if i lost it, it will be ok because its only 50 pesos. But the funny thing is the quality of it is not really good. Now my new umbrella is damage already so when i get home, i'm all wet. I have colds right now and i have headache. i already shower when i get home but i still feel lousy.

Hello there. I am from the Philippines too. And yes, funny, sometimes I think that the rain knows when you will be traveling because it is the time it will pour really hard and would make your travel difficult. The temperature makes me want to sleep and just relax if I am at home, but when I am outside, the rain makes me uncomfortable because it's hard to move. I do hope there would be no accidents during our travel and that there would be less or no damage at all in our country if this rain will continue.

yes, i love this weather when im at home. Love to sleep with this kind weather then when you wake you eat "tsampurado", the best. i hate this weather when im going out, going to work or going to the market or mall. it is so uncomfortable because even if you have umbrealla and jacket, you still get wet because of the winds and floods. and then the whole your out, your pants or skirts, your shoes and socks is wet.
