I just lost my seasonal job yesterday, and I don't want to sit at the house spending every waking hours thinking about finding a job. If you are unemployed, how do you spend your day? Do you spend a lot of hours on Career Builder etc? Did you start a new hobby?

If I am unemployed, I start my garden. Yep, I see money making opportunity by raising exotic fruits that are grown elsewhere. I spend a lot of money at the market buying fruits that are imported from places like Thailand, Vietnam and China, Brazil. I learned recently that many people grow their own fruits. Since I have a large yard, I can start by working on fertilizing the existing tree that I have. Then try to propagate the exotic plants that I currently have so I can sell them too. I recently went to a resident to buy a fruit tree. Her tree is probably 10 years old, but she has been in this business selling her plants for years. She has not worked an outside job for over 12 years. This lady will cut and root the cutting then put it in a pot and sell. OF course she only has exotic and tropical plants not found in typical nursery. Now back to the plant I purchased. She charged me $150.00 for the plant, but I insisted on buying a smaller one instead. So she charged me $40.00 for a small very small pot. Which probably cost her only two months of watering. Time well spent. I will also use the free time to educate myself and get loans to get a degree.

I use to garden, but took a break with work etc. I am going to start that back up again. It sounds like you might have a business opportunity going, go for it.

Of course you don't have to look for jod all day, venshida. You can make money online, you can post on Mylot, you can take some surveys, etc.i think there are many ways we can earn some money online. Don't be so hard to yorself, just relax. I think some one really can make a fortune online, although i don't,i know some one can do it.So, i think you can spend some time looking for a job,and meanwhile spend some time on making money online, just take it as a relaxation, maybe you will feel better. :) I used to spend a lot of hours on Career Builder, but didn't work well, now i'd rather spend that time on Mylot. lol Ok,have a nice day, wish you good luck.

Yea, I find Career Builder to be depressing. There not to many jobs there. I have looked everyday the last week or so and nothing. I am going to post more on Mylot because it is one of my favorite site if not the favorite.

im unemployed i divide my time between looking for a job, being on here earning some money and just going out of the house. I also tend to do more exercise as you can do this at home and it takes your energy away so you cant worry about finding a job as much.

Exercise is something I do now for about half an hour a day so I am just going to increase it. I am trying not to worry to much about my situation, but it's hard.
