Conscious about your stars?

Hi my fellow myLotters! Are you? Stars are reputation in the making. As we all know, it is a ratio of how we fare as a mylotter. We can be and we can't be conscious about it. It's up to us to take our pick. As for me, I do not care so much about my star, whether it's falling, rising or even bursting, but like anyone else, I would also not like it to drop just like that. It is still an important aspect. How about you? Are you conscious about your star?

Hey thanks for the post....CAN ANYONE TELL ME HOW DO WE GET THE RATING AGAINST YOUR NAME? This rating is surely important as you need to have rating of 500 before you njoy certain previliges on mylot. So check out for your rating and ensure that kust improves over the period of time. All the best. PLs do respond and let me know the answere to my question.

hi..we all get our star ratings when we reach 100 posts...and the color and the rank depends on how others rate your previous posts. There, I hope I answered your question.

The Stars is actually our reputation on mylot based on our performance. every user and reader will rate you based on your discussions, responses and comments. they will grade it + if it's good or - if you're in trouble cause they didn't agreed to it. but trouble is there is a troll here and they can rate - when ever they feel and wanted too.so, make sure you don't hurt some one in your statements.

I cant help it even if I am bothered so actually I have stopped bothering. I am quite active here, been responding regularly, I have comfortable level of rapport with members, I make quality response, I encourage discussions and I get paid regularly...but my star is stuck at RED for eternity. The only thing I dont do is start my own discussions frequently as I cant really think of any good things to stimulate people. Maybe that's gone against me, but cant really help it if I am thick!

Rating and giving their word value is a good thing, and I think everyone should do. It is just to show how well you did and how much you really care about this matter.
It is really up to you if you dont want to care or not. But the point is yourself. I love to see my star red and number 9 as well cuz I have been working for so long to get this point and if it doesn't show anything then it wouldn't motivate you to do the work on mylot.
At lease you feel a little better once you know you are not too bad in here. happy mylot

I don't really care about my star. It's no going to affect my earnings anyway. I'm pretty sure i'll go down on rank 9 in the future so i guess i shouldn't really worry about it. Well some would attempt to pull us down so there's really nothing we can do about it. It's always just a matter of time. I've seen people with rank 9 stars but it seems like it's impossible to go back to 10. I don't know why.

I am like you, I am not all that conscious about it, but I sure don't want it dropping to the flor either. I have had this star since I got it and I would like to see a different color star, but I am not going to cry about it. It really does no good anyway, as people won't change their decisions one way or the other. I don't give negative ratings, but I get them anyway. Oh well, whatever people choose to do, I certainly can't stop them. I will just keep doing what I can and when I can, and let the chips fall where they may. Well, good luck to you and happy mylotting.

I agree star rating is an important aspect and no one would like to see their star rating drop for no reason. Who doesn't like to be at the top with the best star? But again we can't afford to be too conscious about it. Atleast I'm not.
As of now, I'm pretty happy with my red star which hasn't changed since the time I got it. It may sound strange but I've also never tried for the blue star. I guess a shot at the blue star could have an effect on my post or responses as I could get diplomatic and not voice my actual opinions. An injustice to the person I'm responding to. I would obviously hate to see my rating drop but at the same time wouldn't break my head trying to fing the reason for it.
