Hamachi portforward problem

Okay my friend got a Telkom ADSL-5102G. When I went to him I did not know how to forward his port so I just enabled UPnP. So I went home and saw that pings was still high and it was still relayed(slow). I noticed there was an option that was checked "Do not use Universal Plug and Play". I phoned him and asked him to uncheck it. He did so and it was green. Pings were still high but I could at least play 4x4 Evo with him. Later, on my other computer, I tried to play Call of Duty 4, but it wouldn't connect and I did not see his games. Now, today, it says relayed(slow) again. Okay now about the forwarding. I found this website that shows how to forward the ADSL 5102G on Portforward.com, but it features an old version of Hamachi. When I go to Preference System then I see no Magic Port or whatsoever. Now some of you might ask why I don't forward my own port or join another netwrk. The answer to the first question is that when I enter my IP it gives me some MikroTik crap, and there is no guides for my router anyways. The answer to the second question is that I simply can't find a South African Call of Duty 4 Hamachi network that is not full.
