I went for a walk with a friend of mine around her neighborhood, both of us pushing strollers.
Her baby is around 6-7 months old. I had my double stroller pushing my 2 boys.
After a long walk we were heading back towards her house, but still a few blocks away. She noticed her stroller suddenly became difficult to push, and it made a funny noise. We looked it over, and discovered the tire had gone flat!
We were both shocked! Sure enough there was a little valve in the tire of the stroller to put air in it. How crazy is that?
I asked her today if she got her husband to fix the stroller. She said no, the other tire had ended up going flat as well, so they ended up buying a new stroller. Thankfully that one had been purchased at a garage sale, so they weren't out much money.
Have you ever seen a stroller that had valves in the tires to re-inflate with air?

I've never seen a stroller like that. But I'd assume perhaps if it was one of those jogging strollers then maybe.
But like you said if she got it at a rummage hard to say that she'd be able to find replacement wheels for less than what she paid for it. That always seems to be the case with such things.

All of the jogging strollers I've ever saw had air filled tires. They really are nice... but they also are really expensive. My ex and I went through a LOT of strollers... especially Gracos. We always wanted one of those nice Jeep Jogging/ Offroad strollers. That thing had everything! I'm not kidding! It had hand breaks, like a bicylcle! It had reflectors to alert oncoming traffic! I hood with a window.. a suspenction... a 5 point harness system... it was crazy... but so was the price. Mostly we just have to rely on those Wal Mart specials like the Gracos. The absoloute WORST kind of stroller if you do a lot of walking on sidewalks and any kind of unlevel terrain are those cheap UMBRELLA ones that fold up. Those are only good if you drive and you are just going into the mall or something that is very flat and very smooth.

My stroller has air valves... it also has a suspension on it! That was crazy to me! It's one of those 3-wheel deals, the jogger style... I use it ALL the time, we walk everywhere! Our roads/sidewalks aren't the smoothest so it helps that the air-filled tires help absorb the bumbs.

That's the kind of stroller I need because of how much we walk, but I could never find one either new or used, within my price range.

Yes I had one of those once and what a pain they are I can tell you! In the end I got that fed up of it I too ended up buying another one. In fact if its the one I am thinking of, the wheel also fell off it twice while out shopping with a baby in it!

Yes, I have! The strolles with air tires have many good things -they don'tget as bumpy as strollers with solid ones. Espesially if you're walking a lot off road.
I think the strolles with air have been much more confortable than the ones with solid tires.
But not knowing that you have a stroller with air filled tires - such a person I've never seen! That for me is way more crazy than the air filled tires *lol*.

This must be the worse designed stroller out! It should take the prize. I would have been so annoyed if it had happend to me. I mean, even if you are buying a stroller how many people would look at the tyres? I wouldn't have had. Am glad that she got another stroller for her baby.

Yeah, she's really getting into walking, and the baby loves being outside, so she was really ticked when the stroller broke and she couldn't walk anymore for a few days.

hmmm... no I didnt realise they made them like that! I thought they was all just rubber!! My buggies are all rubber tyres. Wow thats news to me! I would be so disapointed if that happened to me!! I really would be so pi**ed!! Wouldnt be in a good mood at all. My buggies are all quite expensive as I can never find a cheap one when I need one.
