Apple just recently came out with a new policy that says if you have a water damaged iPhone 2G or 3G you can bring it into the Apple store to be replaced for $199. This to me, is much better than having to pay to early upgrade at AT&T or event buying a whole new iPhone which could cost you $400+. What do you think about Apple's new policy? Why do you think that they made this? Do you think that they made it just to save costumers?

This would be a good deal for those who have iPhones. I myself do not have one and all I've got is an old Nokia which works great for me. I do not plan to place it near water in order to avoid damaging it. Cheers!!

I thik apple marketing policy excluded start to understand that iphone is not as they guess...many customers are not satisfied about 3g and problems they had and so also from the limitation of the apple licence on the software and os!!So if you care of the last policies from apple you understand something is changing...i found good that a brand as apple try to save their costumers giving more advantages..but i think it must be a policy of default not when you are understood may be you are loosing costumers come out with that...
