Would it be okay when you are working on something, and the radio is on, or the CD player is playing the songs, or music on the background? Would it be so disturbing that you can't work? Sometimes, I found that would be disturbing, because I just need a moment of stillness, so I can come up with something new. If I felt extremely stressed. Turning on the music on the backgroudn, while I lean back on my chair, and close my eyes for while, might be helpful. That really depends on situation for me. What about you?

listening to music is my favorite hobby, it wouldn't disturb my concentration, i love studying while listening to music, but it depends to the type of music i've been listening. i like music that is mellow and not so rock.

It's okay with me as long as the music is not so bad to hear or should i say it fits the mood but if it's not,I found it very noisy, irritating and annoying. Sometimes I just wanna turn it off but then after a few minutes my brother would let it play again. To less the pressure in me I will relax for a bit and close my eyes even just for a second. Afterwards,I'm back to normal again.

No music doesn't affect my concentration at all. In my line of job where I sit in front of the computer I prefer to have light music on as I work to keep me awake, and comfortable. Music is one of the few things I can't live without.

Not really i too listen to good music when i'm stressed. The music just washes my stress away. You know there is a saying,"Music is the greatest therapist". And it sure is correct

It also depends on my situation, if I'm already cramming to finish some school stuffs then I would rather have no music in the background. It would be too distracting, makes me feel the pressure more. But sometimes, it also helps, makes me hype up and be more creative. It really depends.

When the music is pop or genres that i love and the song and singer is my favorite it can't disturb my concentration, but if it is other kinds other than my favorite it disturb me.
There are also time that even it is my fav genre, singer or song, when i am studying, i can not concentrate.

uhhuh it will be alright. i'm not really a musicholic but i do love music. i listen to it when i really want to or needed it, i stopped playing it if i'm feeling annoyed and just wants peacefullness..
if it's too loud yes, it will be so disturbing. i like to listening on the music and then play it with my guitar, that more relaxing. and then i will record it, send it to my friends just to make em happier..i love doing it..
but i prefer a quiteness..=)

Yes, listening to music really ruins my concentration, especially when the music is good because whenever I hear good music I feel like singing! In the company where I work most people do their work while listening to music, and many of them also sing while they're working. I find it very distracting, not to mention annoying.

For me - I like playing music when I'm working (like now). Keeps my brain going - either keeps me concentrated at work, or gives me a quick break to sing-along. I also listen to music at work - of course with headphones.
I think it keeps me in the moment more actually - and it just keeps my spirits up. I'm less frustrated if work is not going my way (with errors and stuff) when I'm listening to music.
cheers!

It depends on what I am doing. If I am studying for a example or reading new material that I need to adapt to then the music will not be my friend. But if I'm doing something like working on a graphic, or buidling some website the music would help, sometimes giving inspiration in some way. It all depends on the type of music you listen and accept too. I primiarly listen to lounge music because it's easy to listen to and you don't have to hear any particular chorus or anything. Hardly any singing in the kind of music I listen to.

It's the opposite for me; I absolutely cannot concentrate on what it is I'm doing unless I have music playing. If I really really need to concentrate without getting distracted by the lyrics of a song, I will play classical music, or other instrumental tunes.
