Some people want a church organ, some people want a full chamber orchestra, and some people would rather have a solo instrument. What kind of music would you prefer for your wedding, or what kind of music did you have?
I had a solo keyboardist. It was an outdoor wedding, and nobody bothered to set up an amplifier for her, so I couldn't really hear the music while I walked down the aisle. C'est la vie.

I'm in the middle of planning and deciding that among other things. I'm getting married in September. I would love to have either my oldest daughter play the flute, or will have recorded music, Kenny G. We are hoping for an outdoor ceremony, as well as the reception. The weather shouldn't be a problem, since at that time of year in Texas it is still like summer. The only things that are for sure, for now, are the songs for our first dance, a dance with my dad, and the theme of the wedding. And that I will be looking for a dress to go with flipflops lol.

Having your daughter play the flute sounds like a great idea! Not only would it be really elegant and classy, but it would also give her a special way to be involved in the ceremony. If the wedding is fairly small, it should work out just fine. If you have a huge number of guests coming, though, you might want amplification so that everyone can hear.

The ceremony will be family and a few close friends. The reception will be larger, since we are both firefighters, that will be the theme of the reception. He is structure and I'm a wildland firefighter. We wanted to keep the actual ceremony small and simple.

We were married in a historical church that only had an Organ, as I did not want Organ music I walked into a dj.. yes a dj playing the wedding march.
I also had him play many songs during the wedding. it was perfect

My fiance and I are both choir members when we were in highschool and college so I think it would be wonderful to have a choir to singing for us on our wedding. But I also love the music of a string quartet and a live band. So I guess we'll just have to consider the price because we wanted to have a destination wedding, and it will cost a lot to bring the whole choir in the area becasue we also have to think of their accomodation. Or we might opt to sing with the church choir so it would be more romantic since both of us love singing and music.
