According to a new AP Poll, fewer Americans will be traveling this year, and a third of Americans surveyed said they have already canceled at least one trip this year because of financial concerns. Has the current economy stifled your summer vacation plans? If not, where will you be vacationing?

According to the Tourism folks down here in Florida the recession is working in our favor because more people are choosing to come here instead of going on more elaborate vacations someplace else. As for us, my husband and I opened our own business in January so we don't have any immediate plans to take a vacation. We're busy, which is a good thing financially, and we can get away whenever we want since our kids are grown and on their own.

I wish we could afford to visit Florida again! We last went almost 10 years ago.

For the most part this year unless it is somewhere close my husband and I will not be taking any Vacation this yr. We are in the process of trying to sell our Condo and move, and since we are just barely going to make anything off of this place, we will not really have anything to travel on either. But I do think due to the High cost of everything, unless it is a really Good deal for somewhere less people are traveling places for sure.

We used to go places all the time but as I've gotten older and gotten into college and stuff, going away on vacations or even taking day trips is pretty much out of the question. It's just way too expensive to visit these places to sightsee or to have fun because there just is not any money available to do that kind of thing. Staying at home is really the only option we've got.

Yes, I can only pass the time at home on the Internet.
