I think that with people who are on mylot a lot, there are bound to be some of you who have "mylot pet peeves"...my current pet peeve are the people who post a discussion saying what is your favorite...and if you can't decide and give two things as your favorite (and in your response explain that there is a tie), the nit picks have to "well i asked for one but you gave me many, but oh well thanks for the response" im sorry but after that i make it a point to never respond to them again.......so what is your current "mylot pet peeve"?

I agree on you guys. I feel the same way that you do. But the first on my list are those who rate other people negative if they do not agree to what you've posted, or started even. I mean, it's everyone's right to rate in whatever way they want but I wish they'll be more careful in doing so. Everyone here has the right to state their own opinions, am I right? *smiles*

Rating negatively for disagreeing is against the rules.

My pet peeve is the people who come here basically to spam the site in order to gain referrals and then complain bitterly that they are not doing anything wrong when asked to read the guidelines. I am all for new members and do expect people to make a few mistakes when they come here under a misapprehension but we are all asked to check a box saying we have read the Terms and Guidelines when we sign up. Most people are apologetic when the guidelines are pointed out to them but just a few come here thinking that rules are there to be 'got around' and get very snotty when it's pointed out to them so that I have mostly given up bothering to help.

If only... if only... but it will never happen If only users would read the Terms before they agree to them. That has and probably always will be my only peeve. I am sad for those that don't because they are then disappointed for many reasons and they complain and make myLot seem bad which it is definately not By the way those type of discussions that you mention are not worth wasting time on as they eventually are removed. When you have to choose between 'this or that' it is not a quality discussion as stated in the Guidelines and so many of them are repeated topics. If only... if only...

Correction: "I hate it when people type faster than me" (See what happens when I try to type too fast?)

My pet peeve at mylot is that some mylotters are writing discussions that are not totally clear due mostly to the spelling or abrevations.

Hello, I will have to say, when I see people aurguing over the internet, for exsample someone typed a disscussion or a comment etc, and say there is someone that did not like was was being disscussed, they will comment under the disscussion with harmful evil words, I mean we have to be honest here you can't hit anyone through a internet, so what is all the arguing fussing and internet fighting called for. I simply thinks it proves nothing, but it could make other rather annoyed. Happy My Lotting!

I dont have many pet peeves with people out here coz I believe diversity makes for excellent entertainment but what does get on my nerve though is when people just leave midway in a huff from a discussion which has become, let's say 'hot'...arguments back and forth, everybody going all out to explain his or her position, accusations and expletives and then suddenly, one member (I think s/he cant think of anything more) just walks off with a holier-than-thou attitude with a line like 'well, I dont want to respond anymore to such ....) Well, if you dont then OK, just walk off...why that condescending attitude?!

When someone does that to me, I just give their comment a negative raiting!! Maybe if they do that to enough people their star raiting will go down, and they'll learn. Wheh someone honestly has a tie pick for something, that should be accepted by the person who asked. My pet peeve is that the site seems to be slow when I post sometimes, and I have to refresh, and sometimes re-post.

When people genuinely don't read your discussion. Or maybe it's that they don't care what it's about. I seem to get about one response for every discussion where the respondant obviously didn't read the message body of the discussion, just the title, and responds without the response being pertinent to the actual question. That irks me.

I think I have many of them.. What I hate most are people who respond with plagiarized articles, and mylotters who would rate you negative only because they don't agree with your personal opinion..

Spammers are my #1 beef not only here but on the web generally. Another board I post on has been constantly barraged with spam every night, and is removed promptly but it still keeps coming. I agree people who do not read the rules are a minor annoyance to me. I was referrring them to the appropriate page, not sure if I will continue doing so as repeating myself is against the rules too. Those people who use the abbreviated text speech to post. Thankfully they tend to be the rare exception, but here is a place to practice your English and grammar, you are not restricted to 120 characters nor pay for air time, nor have to type on a telephone key pad.

ouch . i have about more than once posted that kind of discussion you cited. but am not the one guilty of the kind of reply you said. my current mylot pet peeve are actually two: those who post nothing but contacting them on how to make money (since they'd be making something out of the mylotter) and those who post nothing but discussions and seem to make earning more on their side. i thought this is a community so i say: post some and reply to some . wouldn't you agree?

mine would be those that says "read" before you respond to my response... i mean huh?, i did read the discussion and responses although i admit not all responses if it is so many... but i read not just the title but the post too... and then when i make a response according to how i understood the discussion, i get a reply that says "read" before you respond... how bad can that be? sometimes because i responded disagreeing to their post... and there was this one time where i was told to keep my opinion to myself... it's hard enough already to always check the dictionary and translation of words that i used in posting responses and then get something like that as a reply...

I hate that too, that recently created a new mylot pet peeve , people who make unfounded and hateful assumptions of a person on mylot, with no basis or truth to it...a person did that to me partly because they did not read my response, or else they just disregarded it
