Which do you prefer: QWERTY keys or traditional keys?

The cell phone unit that I've been using for the past two and a half years (a silver Motorola V3) finally gave up and died on me last Friday. Of course, since there are some important messages/calls that I am expecting within the following weeks, I decided to go out and buy myself a new cell phone. Thankfully, I hadn't done anything yet with my mid-year bonus so I was able to buy the model I've actually been eyeing eversince, the LG KS360.
The LG KS360 is a relatively basic phone and I have to admit that I chose it mostly since it looks cute and for its QWERTY keyboard. I'm a heavy texter so having a QWERTY keyboard at my disposal would be an advantage. However, I've gotten to used to texting via the traditional keypad of my V3 that I'm still quite uncomfortable using the QWERTY keyboard. The major disadvantage is that I have to use both hands to type out a message now. However, I've observed that my message typing speed seems to improve everyday and am expecting to be able to touch-type given a couple of weeks' practice. So yeah... If made to choose, I guess I'd say I prefer my new phone's QWERTY keypad.
How about you guys? Any preferences or is either of the two just fine? Please do share your thoughts.

I prefer Qwerty keyboard than traditional one i find it more functional and complete!!Also because we must consider now that the cellphones have many functionalities than in the past such as you can write email, edit text document, communicatin via instant messager or even surf the web and update your own blog for example so all these need a keyboard much complete!!may be in the past where you was able to send sms,or little text messages the normal keypad was ok..but now there are more needs in relation to this device!!so i think a Qwerty will be more suitable both physical or virtual seeing now Qwerty will be designed alos virtual in the touchscreen devices!!

Me either, I perfer the QWERTY keys, and i feel this key design can accelerate my typing speed, save some times, and i can input question and exclamation marks without choose the menu. It has more format control directly, like space, shift, enter and so on. I think it's easy to typing email or short message.

I prefer using a normal cellphone with the traditional keys. I like how compact the keys are and how small the phone is because of the small keypad. What I find difficult with QWERTY keypadded phones are the size of the keys themselves. For the keys to be of decent size, the phone will have to be bigger than how I like them.
Thanks for the response on my discussion :)

*lol* One of the reasons why I bought the LG KS360 is because of its slide-out QWERTY keypad. That way, it's just as handy as any regular phone when close. I also have a thing against bulky phones too, never mind what features they have.

At the first time we try qwerty keypad, perhaps it could be a bit strange. But as time goes by, actually qwerty keypad is much easier to use. We can type text faster than using conventional keypad. One press for one character. It saves our time when we need to type many text. So it's very efficient for mobile working purposes. Have a nice day and happy mylotting.

Qwerty for the win. It decreases your texting time by half, which is practical when your walking and texting, surely?

I actually still can't do that... walk and text at the same time. But maybe it just takes practice..?
