I couldn't think of a better category to start this one...
Well, modern day science is capable of it, in case you are thinking such thing can never happen! The theory is explained very correctly in the film and there could be a day when someone might stumble on a source of dino DNA. If he/she thinks to violate the EFB norms and build a dino...The world is full of dinos. Running around, playing, eating, sleeping are a wide range of dino species.. What will you do?My opinion?
Well. I would be flying no top of a Pterodactyl and watch you have all the fun.Share and Enjoy.

Would you be able to hold on...I think you will fall off and gobbled up in an instant by TRex...but seriously,I dont think anyone would be stupid enough to try this out..you know Frankenstein? it would be exactly that situation.

I came there yesterday night. I saw a lot of people looking out of balconies. I couldn't spot you or your hubby. And none of them were waving at me or calling. Dejected, I had to fly back...

You are a very discouraging woman!. I'll tell mommy about you!
And I know to ride a pterodactyl. If you don't believe me, I'll fly over Kolkota tomorrow night.(I am busy tonight)Just look at the night sky( mmust not be raining)you identify my pterodactyl by flashing blue and red lights attached to it's legs.

I think it will be such a mess if the world becomes Jurassic Park. The problem is that those dinos are simply too powerful for human beings to handle in general. They can easily damage the ecosystem and more importantly we may not be capable of dealing with them. There may be big animals (elephants for one) but not that wild and aggressive. There may be aggressive ones (lions for one) but they are not so big. Dino... on the other hand, can be the best of both sides.

Good Assessment.
Size and power of animals do matter. And your examples are really great. But what are you planning to do... I mean, we are in a crisis now, my fellow!
Think of something brilliant like the one you thought before!

This is so scary!
But then I had an idea...
While you are messing about with DNA and making these creatures be part of our lives again, could you also do something so that they become 'bonsai' style? They would have all the features and be real but just a bit smaller - we could even put them on a lead and take them for a walk then

I have been seen out with weird things when I take a walk
but never were they on a lead

Well. On the brighter side, you won't have to take it for a walk to reduce the fat...A T. Rex however mini it is, it will try to eat your fat off.
And what sort of weird creatures have you been out with? The most freakiest thing to go out with is a man and if you have tried it you must know what he means by telling: 'Honey, I'm thirsty.' or 'You look so beautiful!'. His Thesaurus is a bit complex... at least modern ones are.

Well....
We could delete the T Rex Growth Hormone gene and then insert the Lizard GH Gene. How about that? You'll need a Dolby speaker and a mic to get the real sound effect though.....
And you seriously wouldn't want to take them for a walk...

Hi Ebook_freak, Well while you are soaring up up and away and having fun I think will go find my Fred Flinstone and get my own pet dinosaur and hope he protects us from the rest LOL. Seriously though it can happen and there is always someone out there that will violate and try to recreate just because they can and with no thought of the eventual consequences. Huggles. Ellie :D

You are very correct! We'll have a ton of fun. And Flintstones Dino is a good idea. I almost forgot about him! And It might seriously happen. Nice to see you are warned and took my theory seriously. There could be a heck of evil scientists there waiting to unleash some terror. They can't do it because of financial crisis, maybe..

I think this would be a terrible problem.
Dinosaurs would cost too much to keep as a good housepet! And their poopy is so large (I assume..).
In reality though, it would be a bad thing. Mammals rise to dominating the world was helped by the dinosaurs being wiped out. They were very good predators. But then again, I don't think it would be as bad as you make it look! They would have to find girl dino DNA and male dino DNA of the same species to make dinosaurs that will reproduce. Not to mention getting them to like each other. Unless the scientist was a billionaire, it would cost wayyyyyy too much for him to create dinosaurs from DNA. Scientists still cannot get a reliable creation from DNA. It takes a lot of tries for it to work.
This is a great discussion, I like it!

Collecting all the DNA would be a terrible job of course. But once the DNA is on his hands, the thing is so simple! You just need a normal reptilian egg (from the ovary). Inserting DNA is simple for a Biotechnologist.
And the mating thing is natural!. Dinos donot look at lip glosses or facny heels..., they look for the real thing!
And by the way what would you do? Will you rent a pet Dino from our store?

Yup you have to wait till 200 postings...
And I guess you've got some little trouble with the kids? Try Compies. Those dinosaurs feed on aged and about-to-die creatures. They look small and ferocious, but never harm kids. Kids will never know that secret...
And keep a Stegy out in the garden just for name's sake...

Nice discussion. I've never thought about that.
I think it will be great if the dinos come back :P We can see what the really were, how did they act, if they are so aggressive...
I would like to have a dino for a friend :) I think it will be awesome - riding it, hugging it. I want to feel what is it to fly on a dinos back. I think then you feel so free and happy, you see so many beautiful things in nature - trees, flowers, mountains, waterfalls, rocks, the sky...
There would be some problems with the T-Rex, but we will make it a good and gentle dino pet. :)

Hi em1n3mka,
You are as freaky as I am. Even I would love to do all the things you mentioned. Right from seeing a dino to hugging it. And riding it would definitely be fun. Provided that you have tamed it. Dinos can be tamed. We see all the ferocious things because movies want to make money. Sometimes they might not have been so much fierce after all. We can hope for the best!
Regards,
Ajith.

Hi, it's happy to see that I'm not the only one who thinks this way :)
When I was little, I used to read books and encyclopedias about dinosaurs and since then I like the so much. I'm very interested in them and I think that they are nice creatures and I hate the fact that they are gone :(
It would be freaky awesome if some scientists bring them back. :) Hope that that will happen soon, so I can see them.

Hi there.
Same here too. Even I used to read them while I was a very young boy. Even I used to discuss it with one of my zoology teachers. He was as interested as I was. So I am in a Dino craze. Even though I also have this interest to see a real Dino, I don't think bringing them back to life as such would be really a good idea. We must first make them weak and then bring them back one by one and do not let them breed. Hope some one does it for us...

Thats a great idea... If the world became a Jurassic park, then naturally we all will perish because it will be too hard to handle these reptiles......By the way,if you sit above a flying dinosaur, then also other dinosaur will attack you,as you are much smaller to all of them. And it will not be a very good experience....Its good to keep a Pterodactyl as pet......

That one is a great comment.....You will become poor,if you keep an archeopteryx as your pet....It may consume more than a elephant..

Hiya Solitudine,
Glad to see you again in one of my discussions.
I also think that we would perish if something like that ever happens. Let's pray for a world without dinosaurs. But there would be thrilling experiences too... many people here says it would be like playing a video game. But we don't have extra lifes or replays like video games of course.
And tanks for the advise, I will try to train my pterodactyl to fly higher. Or I would tame another archeopteryx. That would do.

That was funny indeed!
Eating an elephant, sure! You have got a good sense of humor anyway. And thanks for reminding me about the food. Seriously, that's a really important thing and I have never bothered to think about it....
But I will manage it. There won't be any reserve banks or financial crisis that time... Dinos will be eating anything they wish. I should make sure that they don't think of me as a snack!

You know, that I get freaked when I see spiders, snakes and other reptiles....And I think,if I see such a big reptile roaming around me,I will die out of fear...Reptiles are ugly creatures.Probably I will kill that person who will create a Dino once gain.
It is a terribly freaking idea..

My dear Tuya!
I think you are a victim of my contagious disease. Speding a lot of time with you in your discussions has made you a freak too?
Well, it's ebook_freak you are dealing with here, so I think you got the disease. Anyway let me cure you!
There is no reason to get freaked out! When I am around here, nobody is gonna make you upset by releasing new dinosaurs..And you don't have to go to the Central Jail by killing someone...The Freak is today's hero.

oh my god, I can't imagine this kind of world. With all those giant dinosaurs running all over the places and damaging things underneath their huge feet.
The human population is large in my country, so cannot think about how many people would lose their lives if these species come up again.
Do you think they still exist ? I mean someone is reproducing and maintaining them in some isolated grassland like the movie jurassic park ?
@ebook_freak (1511)

Well. Truly I think there are experiment conducted in Top secret. But I don't think there is a secret breeding ground like Jurassic Park. No- It is too tough to maintain as well as keep it as a secret. There might be experiments conducted in the laboratory scales only. So no risk of reptile domination and population wipe out!
Happy posting!

Doesn't matter, but think about all the view, all the fun, hang outs??? Do you think you can be satisfied with what the CNN and BBC might provide you with?
No...
World is tempting... and all dinos are never gonna be tamed.. so why waste your time at home. Let's enjoy. You could join me in my flight cruise on the pterodactyl..

i can't take it as exciting ... its practically not possible of living together of dinos n human beings together ... though human is the most powerful creation of God in all ways but physically dinos more powerful than humans n their existance can just create disturbance in whole world
God knows everthing better than us thats y existance of dinos in this world were before human being came in this world !
May God bless us !

Hi Fathima.
I believe in your concept. And I respect your Quran teachings. I think its written in Quran that humans are the most powerful. Sorry if I am wrong. Anyway dinosaurs can return and scientists are doing only very peripheral studies. They are not allowed to do many complicated studies, but a really brilliant scientist can do it secretly. Many companies might support him secretly. And we'll pray for a better tomorrow.

Ajith.

You are very correct. There would be endless fear everywhere. And dinos will be attacking us. But there are chances for survival. Dinos will get adapted to our environment and we will also attack back. So don't worry and be happy.

Very true. We will all face extinction. And we will protect the mammals indeed. There are many advanced machinery available with us. Moreover predators never cause anything to go extinct. Because they need food the next day too right? They are prudent enough to do that.

Ajith.

it's scary and interesting at the same time.t-rex and velociraptors running around the city is a bit scary.they might feel threatened by humans, get scared, and attack.it will be interesting to see the herbivores roaming around, eating leaves from trees.it's quite messy though, they have big "poops.the world might get so smelly.

Well. You are very true about the Rex and Raptors. And herbivores roaming around would be fun. But no worries. They do poop but there are dinosaurs that scavenge on poops. They used to keep earth clean a long time back. They are called Compysaurs I guess...
So now you can enjoy to the max!

I love dinosaurs but I think I would have to watch the dinos running around in our world from heaven, cuz Id probably get eaten by a rex. our current world wouldnt survive with all those reptiles running around. its cool to watch in the movies, but it would be pretty stupid if they did that in real life.

And you don't have to go to heaven that fast. Just shut your self in at home. If someone knocks your door, say you have chicken pox and donot respond. That should do it. And when I come to your home, you can join me in my safari!
