how to design your own tattoo?

my friend wants to get a tattoo done but is confused what kind of a design.do you know how to make designs for a tattoo so that we can make designs and decide which one to get.

I think you can just search for a cool design on the internet, print it and show it to the tattoo chap. I think they will overlay it in your friend's skin and when he's happy with it they will start tattooing. At least that's what they show you on the tv.

Well, I have lots of ink...all original. I can't draw or design worth a thing but what I do is try to draw it out...to the best of my ability to at least convey what I want. Take it to a tattoo artist that you want to work with and show it to him as well as explain what you're thinking. He'll draw it up (he's the artist anyway) and offer you revisions. SO you can make changes based on what he's put together for you.
When you like the final product and are happy with it, he'll ink you up:)
