it is very common here that people walk barefoot when inside their homes. we usually left our shoes and slippers outside or carry our shoes inside the house and put it in its proper place. we dont want the floor to get dirt, muddy or full of germs, as when you walk outside, the slippers or shoes you may step on something like a dog or cats poop, and we dont want to bring it inside the house, so we here, we always walk barefoot inside our homes. other people have slippers for use in the house only and not to be used outside, those that use slippers dont like the feel of cold floor on their feet.

it is not a custom here, we just dont want what shoes and slippers have stepped on outside get in our house too. like for example if you step on an animal's dung outside, we dont want it to be brought inside the house, so that's why shoes and slippers that is used outside, should be left outside.

No, I don't. I always wear a pair of slippers made from abaca because they're nice and comfortable to use.

I'm almost always barefoot at home. I don't mind getting my feet dirty. I don't like to have my feet confined. If it's cold in the house I wear socks. Even when I go out I wear flip flops most of the time.

Yup, we do the same too. Most of us leave our shoes at the door, and walk either barefooted, or we wear socks or house slippers. It's the same for me - my feet on a cool floor really feels good on a hot day!

I don't walk bare footed because the dirt but I would like to walk barefooted in a garden or a place full of grass where I could feel the freshness of the air flowing in my feet.

I like to wear heavy, thick socks inside the house in winter and in summer, as our house stays very cool all of the time. To me, the feel of cold marble flooring under my feet would bother me. My hubby says that if we were to walk barefoot on the carpet that the natural oils from our feet will damage the fibers of the carpet over time, so that doesn't sound good. While we're on the subject, my niece told me that her friend's house had carpeting that felt greasy under her feet, maybe from cooking and grease spattering around, yukky.

I am used to wearing slippers at home... i don't like it when i am barefoot because of the feel of the cold floor... i like it warm... aside for that... my feet usually sweat when it is very hot... so if i don't wear slippers... the floor would be wet... and i might slip...

Most of the time i am barefooted at home too. I am not sure why i love being that at home. It is like a feeling of being light. But in some place like beaches or any body of water especially if i am swimming i don't like to be barefooted.

i dont wear socks at home to, because i dont see any point in wearing socks at home as i like to be able to feel the carpet under my feet and in the summer it cools my feet down on the kitchen titles.

I don't walk without my footwear on. I feel like the floor's always dirty or maybe I'm just cynical when it comes to hygiene and sanitation that I don't want to think of having my feet getting dirty.

I wear only high heels in the office so by the time I get home I will put my shoes aside very far from me and I will take a shower to walk barefoote then which I love to do. I seldom wear a sandals at home and I walk in the garden barefoote also.
