What forums do you use to get referrals?

I use a lot of forums to drive traffic to my website to get referrals. Does anyone else do this and if so what forums do you use. MyLot is a cool site for information but it's not that great for referrals considering if you post too many links your account gets banned :( Also it can be hard to post links on forums as well but normally they give you your sig space for all that so it's still a good way to get more traffic.

It is hardly possible to get the referrals from the forums as most of the forums are having referral exchange board.All are looking for exchange of referrals only. Even then then I have got few referrals from some forums but they are inactive. But most of my referrals are only from mylot and some of them are active also.But I have never placed my referral link in any of my discussions or in my responses and to all of my referrals I have sent my links upon the request only. But I have referred my blog to them and that too not to get referrals and to refer some scam sites and the list of anti virus software..Now I am not using forums to get referrals because of the above said reasons.
