what will you do when someone is in danger?

when someone's in danger,like be robbed by a gangster, what should we do:to help him or her immediately or think ablout the situations firstly? why?

I live in Florida and usually have my handgun in my truck. The law down here gives you a lot of leeway when it comes to shooting someone so, if I came upon a situation like that...the gangester's kneecap is history. If he moves after I shoot the first one, I'll shoot the other one.
