Well, majority of U.S. citizens using cellphones instead of landline nowadays. The competition of cellphone services business will be focused on what we desired, and the best plan for the common customers in general. From what I saw daily, especially female custoemrs; they tend to use more minutes than male customers. It might be the nature of female, they love to chat over the phone, or they love to text over the phone. So, to save money, most customers desired on unlimited calls and unlimited text.
Right now, Metro PCS is the only one provide customers with a flat fee for unlimited of everything. We as custoemrs, want to see the change on our regular used mobile providers would do the same, such as T - Mobile, Verizon, and AT&T. Don't you agree?

Having a flat fee for everything sounds nice but I have to ask what the fee would be. If the fee is much higher than that calculated based on usage, I don't think I would feel like joining. On the other hand, if it is comparable, I think most of the people will join which effectively means that everyone share the same cost of using the network regardless of usage which may be unfair to those who only use the cells less frequent than others.

Well, as competition goes, AT&T, T - Mobile, and other service provider will fight for their market share. They will base on the price war. So, you won't have to worry about the price.

Well first of all, I totally agree with you.
Unlimited calling and texting is awesome, because that's all I ever do! Companies like T-Mobile and Verizon etc etc need to step up to the plate and start competing more!

I have both cell and landline. I need my landline to work from home. So the unlimited plan works well for me. It just depends on the amount of use from each individual. I like having the choice. It wasn't so long ago phone bills were totally outrageous.

No I don't think so. I will really depend on your needs. I own two different phone with two different providers, my personal phone which I use for personal and business purposes and my boyfriend phone which is enrolled in unlimited texting and calls because my boyfriend and I don't see that often because of his work. We use it for all day chatting and texting, though we also use our personal phones for all day texting when there are problems in the other provider.

Hi clorissa,
Yes it is useful for us if we get rate plan cost for calling using mobile phone. At least we have cheaper price, right?
Sure, it will save our money, because all network provider give different charge for usual and unusual rate. For, mobile people it is very helpful that we are not so much care about our bill for prepaid or pastpaid card. Its all plan for one charge.
But, in my country its only apply in the same network provider, whether its still better than nothing.
Have a nice days..

i thinkan unlimeted paln is not the best choice for all!!In fact as you mentioned on your post many people can use their phone much or few it depends from people and needs! So nromally falt,or half-flat,in my country for example is not a vailable a real flat service plan,so normally it costs much montly so if you have an high traffic on your phone and contents it canb suitable because if you pay all as you go you will spend really much..but in some cases people are not always on the phone,to chat, surf, send sms, making calls and so on..so for his kind of users they cna be suggetsed to have a pay as you go plan in this way the can save for the different activity and depending from period months and so on...

I live in U.S. & if I'm not mistaken, just about every major service providers have some sort of unlimited plan... I have t-mobile & I'm paying $99.99 for unlimited voice calls & unlimited text messages... Then I'm paying $25 for blackberry plan... T-mobile's offering anyone who's been with them for at least 22 month, special plan for $49.99 unlimited calling plan... In my case, I'd have to add $35/month because of blackberry - which will include messagings -... AT&T is doing similiar plan... I know they have unlimited calling plan for $99.99/month, so does verizon...

I don't think so, because here in the Philippines, one of the service provider here offers Unlimited Call Service for about 25php($1.88). You can use it for 1 day. And it has a unlimited Texting too. Anytime you can register to the service, example you register for this day 11am and the ending time of your unlimited service is on the next day at 11am too.
