Do you know when you are reading false information about mylot?

Do you ever read discussions that give you tips about mylot but you aren't sure if they are right? I usually don't point it out when they are wrong (I've inquired about a LOT of things about the rules over the years, and surprisingly, I've actually gotten answers), but I wonder if you guys can tell the difference. I think a lot of you who have been here awhile can. Odds are if you don't read it in the guidelines or any kind of rules given by the admin., it probably is not true. Thoughts?

Are you saying that you think that people actually give false information about Mylot to other Mylotters? If that is so then it is disgusting. could I tell the difference? No I don't think so as I am very trusting and believe what peole would say. It is important to rad the rules and to be honest - I have forgotten aa lot of them so wil be going back to read them again. This will be a priority. Many thnaks

I think most of them believe what they are posting in their discussion. But where they get their information is beyond me. Sometimes it is downright ridiculous, and I feel badly because people who read their discussions think certain things will make them money, and they won't.

Recently I read that you make more money when you respond to someone who has responded to your post than when you just answer a post. did you read that?

Yep...not true. Sure, people like it better. But it isn't true.

I usually do know if it's false information or not. I have read MyLots TOS many times but sometimes I think some mylot members run out of topic ideals and start discussions about Mylots guidelines so they can earn more $.I'm sure newbies here at mylot are confused enough when somebody give's them false info. I think the best thing any Mylot newbie can do is to read and re-read the TOS & Guidlines to this site instead of listening to other mylot members.

Lately I have seen new members posting "tips". And I just scratch my head at what they say.

That's so true. There is no better source then reading the actual source of all the rules and not just believing in what other random people say. I totally agree with that.

We have been noticed of any changes by admin alerts.I don't go back to guidelines, because I don't have to. We all know the regulations and it makes me laugh when people post copy of Mylot regulations over and over.... Yes, some are false, but I don't want to respond for those, people always "know better" and they are ready to argue. Some want to play Mylot police...

Yeah, I know what you mean. I was thinking of some that people seem to think will really help them, and I truly think the poster thinks they are being helpful, but the info really won't help anyone if people act upon it. Extra time spent on something that will not increase their earnings.

In my three years on myLot I am amazed at how many discussions are started about a something which is very easily explained in the guidelines. IMO every newbie should have to read the guidelines and then correctly answer a small test on the guidelines before they are allowed to post any discussions or responses.

Some of us really need to learn by trial and error. If we haven't knocked ourselves out doing everything the wrong way, we never will really understand why it should be done the right way. Actually I read them when I started, they just didn't completely sink in the first time around.

I have been with Mylot for about three years now. I go by what I know here. I have asked alot of questions and heard alot of theories over the years from alot people. Some were right and some were wrong. I learned from hands on experience.

By the way, I know you are on my friend list, but I never get any discussion notifications from you, even though your notification is on. I don't get Lilybug's either. Is it a mylot screwup, or do you not post discussions? If it is a screw up I want to make a point to search out your discussions.

Hi AmbiePam, I don't take a lot of notice really and just continue to post and respond as usual, I know the rough guidelines and stick to them making each discusion a question, haven't got into the tasks yet at all but then I am Taurean and tend to stick with what I know a lot of the time rather than try new stuff LOL. I will suggest to a newcomer that they respond to responses as this tends to keep their discussion flowing more and it it through this interaction they can become good friends with some of the other myLotters but I won't pick them up on anything just tell them to refer to guidelines if I don't know. Huggles. Ellie :D

I usually don't notice many discussions that could or could not be true about mylot. But I just came across one that everyone who responded seemed to think it was actually filled with helpful, useful information.

Well alot of people can get sucked into believing alot since they sometimes don't read or remember all the rules and guidelines. I know I probably don't remember them all. So it can be easy for me to believe somethings. Maybe I need to go check up on them again to get a fesh new view of them to remember.

I think you are right...keep to the guidelines set by mylot and don't believe it unless you have read it.

Your right but it doesn't matter. I don't say anything either if someone says something wrong. I read the guidelines about every three months to see if anything has changed and just to refresh my memory what the rules are. As a matter of fact I haven;t checked for awhile now and so thanks for this discussion as it triggered my memory. I will have to go and read them again after I post this response. Sometimes I read people's theories and some of them make sense and others don't but who knows for sure who is right and who is wrong. Especially when it comes to ways to earn the most we can.

There are a lot of things going around about mylot, here on mylot, tips for making the most out of mylot, things that may or may not be against guidelines, and then there is the bad stuff that people say because they've gotten banned, or whatever. Well I think that I can tell the difference, sometimes I'll go to guidelines to make sure, or just read to see if one member here who seems to be on top of it all here about mylot, I'll check to see if she's responded. Well Have a great day!

yah you have a good point. In internet you are abosolutely 100% not secured because some website have hidden anomalies also and they always try to encourage you to sign up on their site in order benefit a lot of good things but beyond of that all "fronts" their is a hidden anomality that will take advantage of your being innocent.

Ya, that's so true, people need to just learn to read because guidelines and rules do exist. I run my own forum and it gets annoying when newcomers come and ask things like "Is it OK to have a post with like 1 word on it?" When Rule 2 clearly states "If your going to post try to post at least 1 sentence." But then they'll just go and spam everywhere and claim they didn't read the rules.
