In mylot, when you posted long discussions, how likely the mylotters will read them through? And how likely would they respond to it? From my experience, most people rather want to read a shorter version, or concise statement, straight to the point. Then they will response it more likely. Unless, you are going to posted a factual information, that is informative. So, if someone posted a whole page long of discussion, how likely would you read them through. Sometimes, time is tight, I rather skip it.

I actually think that when you spend the time to post really long discussions, it makes people type more in their responses, and give you better answers.
However, I will admit, that one somebody posts 3 paragraphs on something that could be explained in one or two, it does bother me quite a bit.

I have actually noticed from my personal experience or from seeing what others have written that depending on the subject that some discussion replies are longer than others. If I am explaining of something in great detail it would definitely be longer than giving a shorter response. I just want to be able to be not only informative but explain my view clearly. I usually, as mentioned if I find the subject matter to be of great interest and time permits would love to read and see what the person has to say.

Well, I tend to think of any discussion as one that someone usually will answer in time. It just might be what is in the discussion that helps as well. For me if you were to ever check out all of the discussions I have ever started you will find shorter started discussions as well as some longer ones as well. I have found it does not really the Topic on them as well. Some are responded too by quite a few, while others are sparce for sure.
But for me, I usually take time to scan over the discussion if the Title sounds interesting, and then decide from there. I think in all you can learn a lot about the other person when the discussion is longer as well.

I ry to make my discussions straight to the point. that can be hard to do sometimes as what I want to ask involves a lot of though on my part, as I go along, I tink of more things to say. I think it also depends on what the discussions is about, as to what kind of responses you would get as well. If it is a boring discussion, then you would probably not get any, or if you do get some, then the answers many not be all that good either. K usually just post replies, but lately, I have been thinking od discussions to start, so I have started a few. Well, good luck to you and happy mylotting.

i dont think i write long discussions in the first place, what i do is to write 4 or 5 lines and i think that is enough, but i do think the longer the words the more chances that one we get more payments but i dont want to get caught in this because longer words may result in someone writing rubish at the end of the day

It depends on the topic that it can be long or short. If you have enough and many ideas it will be long, but if you don't have or lazy to write it, it will be short.
Sometimes i respond to other long answers, sometimes short as 2 sentences. I have not yet started a discussion and all i do is responding and commenting.

Hi friend,
The writing of the discussion depends upon the discussion that mylotter starts. If i know more information about the issue of the discussion i prefer to write long discussion. If i think it is good to write short about the discussion than i prefer to write short. It all depends upon the topic i choose.I generally prefer medium size discussions than short or long discussions.Even if i feel like boring than i will also skip to read the discussion if it is short or long .
Have a nice day

hi
yeah i do agree with u-when i look at responses to my posts-i wud like them to be short and concise without any beating around the bush, but certainly not one-liners. but while responding, i try to write atleast 4-5 linesso that it qualifies for some higher payment-bcoz in mylot quantity counts when u post a response.

Hi..actually in my lot we are free to discuss any thing .it depends on the persons, as for me i don.t write lengthy discussions because many people don,t have the patience to read every thing ,so it's better to discuss right the point avoiding other explanations....

hello clorissa123,sometimes when im in the mood in posting a discussion or comments, and if the the topic is good,i can make it long.its nice to express what we have in mind if we love the topic posted.and yes its true, some people find it hassle to read long comments or discussion that they just skip it,i do it sometimes but i make it sure that i understand what the topic is all about.some people here post comments or discussions that is brief but consice,we can still undestand eventhough its short becoz the thought is there already, that is more important...:) good day!

But please make sure it is short and main point is there else it will be meaningless.

Well, I don't really avoid writing long discussions since there are things that really need to be explained thoroughly in order to get your point across. However, I do try to avoid intentionally lengthening my response just for the sake of a theoretical increase in earnings. It really is quite annoying reading through a couple of paragraphs' worth of posts when all the person really wants to say (or has said) may be expressed in less words. Doing so really makes the people who read your post lose interest. I confess that I am quite guilty of skipping through certain parts of discussions. As soon as I understand the gist of what the discussion-starter wants to say, I stop reading and start replying.
