Indian BABUS ranked the worst in a recent survey for asia

Hi recently i read a news article stating that the indian beauracrats like the IAS, IPS and other ppl holding the key post are the worst when it comes to doin job quickly and effectively amony the countries in asia. It was a shame that indian BABUS were placed last. Whats you take on it? What are the suggestions to make our indian BABUS work properly for the salary they earn from the hard work and the blood of us?

What can I suggest…maggots have slowly but steadily eaten into the framework of bureaucracy starting from the days of Indira Gandhi …she was the one who first started replacing merit with mediocrity and sycophancy so that the administration was always at her beck and call…sadly this has now become the norm rather than the exception. Very harsh steps would be required to cleanse the system but in India, where palm-greasing raises no eyebrows…it’s a dream which would never come true. Though it may sound harsh…but make the public sector accountable and take away job guarantee (like in private companies) and you can see a turnaround overnight…but who will bell the cat?

Well given that the beauracrats are very important in implementing the schemes by the governmnet, if a government takes some harsh steps, the beauracrats will ensure that the reforms don reach the people properly. THe people don blame the babus but the government and hence vote against the government. Governments can be changed every 5 years but these BABUS infest the system for more than 40+ years sittin in the same place and stinkin. Well About Indra Gandhi's steps, I agree with you sudip she started this whole issue and slowly and steadily it has eaten the country. THanks to the COngress and the GAndhi family. I don see anything don by that party to India. Now the people has given it another chance lets see what happens.

dis news is highlighted in dis time bcoz india is growing rapidly n if dese issues r raised den it will come to d knowledge of govt. n ppl like u n certain actions will b taken regardin dis.
i accept dis dat it is really a shame for not only d babus but also ppl who r givin bribes to dese babus dat means we ourselfs..
n it is our habit dat we consider only d minus pts of our country n u will never write an discussion on obama appreciating india for increasing employment but we will write discussions on my lot for lacking areas of our country.
it is very hard to say from heart "mera bharat mahan"
but, it is very easy to say "is india ka kuch nai ho sakta"...

Well What if Obama praises India for raisin the employment. We are a country with more than 1 billion population and hence the rate of unemployment has been high for our country. SO it becomes they duty of the government to do this. And i don think we need to appreciate the government for doin its duty. It is a pitiable state when someone says Government should be appreciated for what they do. They need to do it because its their duty that why they are paid and that is why we voted them in. Like it is the duty of our parents to help us grow, make us study and so on... it is the duty of this goverment to help the people of the country and hence the country grow. If there is aproblem in the system so as it is not able to meet its duties properly we highlight it. Is india mein kuch ho sakta lehin there must be people who bring out the issues and there must be people to address the issues. if either of this happens, zaroor IS INDIA MEIN KUCH NAHIN HO SAKTA!

They are the persons who don't like any work to be done quickly. They will make you come to them for a just a little work from time to time and you have to go to them leaving your important work. I think they should be punished like shown in the Kamal Hasan movie "Hindustani".

Well Hindustani was a nice films wasnt it. I dunno if a single person can drastically change the system like that but i surely believe a group of people can do something on this. The only way a file can move in the government office is by givin money, else inspite of all the documents being correct they say this is not right that is not right, Sir is not there, Sir will sign, Go meet him, If you go there, Go meet her blach blah blah. THe only route to get your work done in a government office is by giving some huge MONEY. If you give money, the govt officials will wag their tails and do ur work like a dog! Government officials are Just DOGS who want some bones! They have long back lost their self respect!
