I have a 3.5 GPA and take 2 honors classes now. I'm taking Humanities as a senoir and Calculus. Do any of you recommend essential classesi n the sciences or anything else I should take before I graduate?

there is really no quick way to say this, but even the courses you are taking now, unless you plan to make that your concentration, most of them are not even on the college level. I don't know about your highschool, but mine completely unprepapred me for courses that I would have to take because of the curriculum. I even took the university path. I took bio 1 and bio2 and I took chem 1. I took algebra and prealgebra and still ended up taking the pre- courses they have for you if you don't get high enough on your ACT's. if you need assistance I would talk with your guidance counselor about the courses that you would be interested in taking that would work best with what you want to do when you get out of highschool, but also make sure that you are still going to be able to graduate. I took choir and I took chorale and band my senior because those was what was supposed to help me because I went ot music therapy as my major. Though I changed it later, I was still not well prepared for college. What I would also do is find out about courses offered by a community college that you could possibly take while you are still in highschool. that way you can be better prepared and not have as much on your plate when you start college. Also, look at online courses. The professors pay attention and actually care whether or not you understand the information you receive.

That really depends on what you plan on majoring in. If you are going for any science or engineering degrees then you definitely need some specific science courses. Take the hardest classes that you believe you can take without hurting your GPA.
