I am curious. What determines where you shop online when shopping? Is it the merchandise or discounts? The customer service or the free gifts with purchase? I have a website that through June 21st. mylot users can receive a 20% discount just by typing in MYLOT in the coupon code box at http://www.elaineandandy2.com Question is would anyone on mylot be interested in being able to receive a permanent discount on things they buy on the website year around? What makes you shop on one particular website? If I made the discount permanent for all the members here, would you support the website and refer your friends to it to be able to keep the discount going indefinitely? What would you like to see on a website to keep you interested in coming back to it whenever you needed to buy something? The answers I get will depend on the products I make available so please give me your opinion.

i think sometimes the most important thng when someone are searching for some goods or products online they are doing this because they want a big discount or a really good price in relation to normal shop!!
I think also have a various choice about payments can be important and in this way people can choose that one suitable for their needs!!
Latly when shop online offer free shipping is a good way o attract customers in fat in many cases people can change their onlie shop if they judge the online shipping cost is too much fro them or single product!!

Do you think it is more important to have a one time discounted price on just one item or more important to be able to have a discounted price on any item every time you shop on that online store? Shipping sometimes may seem expensive that is true especially if only one item is purchased but the majority of the time that can include the cost of insuring the item in the event it is damaged or lost in the shipping process. In most cases the cost of shipping $100 of merchandise is the same as shipping the cost of a $10 item and that is where people can save money when shopping online. If there are several items they want in that online store. they may find it less expensive to order multiple items at one time and pay one shipping charge rather than pay separate shipping charges going to multiple websites to get everything they need to buy. I know I offer free shipping on $500 or more because I have many fundraisers for schools. churches, charities and community projects. Or if it is for a fundraiser will offer a special price so that they can take orders and then send in their requests for merchandise all at one time to also benefit from lower shipping costs. I think that if there is something that people really want,I try and work with them as much as I can so that they can get that item. In the long run it turns into a repeat customer who is happy with what they received and then turns around and tells their friends so more business results so maybe next time try seeing if you can negotiate a better price if the shipping cost seems to high or ask if other methods of shipping is available by contacting the website owner. Sometimes there are. You don't know until you ask. Thanks for responding and register on the website sometime. I give away free gift cards from time to time and they generally cover shipping cost!

i think it depends from goods!!So if you are purchasing a item a bit expensive as hi-tech products or some othe rluxury items so the single discount just on that item can be really suitabel..in other cases the general discount it will be ok!!so depends from cases to cases and i guess it depends even from people to people such as in what way normally they used to shop onlie, their experiences and expectation towards the shop online they are buying the object they want!!

It is good to have both types of discounts. For example, I buy body jewelry online and if you have bought a lot of jewelry there you get a permanent discount. But I also buy body jewelry there when I wasn't planning to if they send me a coupon for an additional percentage off.

For me it just depends mostly on if they have the products I am looking for and then if they seem reputable.
There are certain things I will generally try to buy at the store. And then there are hard to find items that I will search for online.
I like to buy from a lot of specialty websites. I'll get my harmonicas from one site, I like to support charity websites, and then I'll buy some things directly from manufacturers if it is possible.

Well thank you for the response. I am glad that you like to support charity websites and hope that you will frequent mine. When you pull up my website: http://www.elaineandandy2.com you will see that for every gift card that a buyer purchases, they can designate any charity of their choice to receive 30% of every gift card courtesy of elaineandandy while you get to spend the entire amount of the gift card on anything of your choosing. So I do hope that you will sign up as a shopper and become a regular customer. I do periodically give good customers free gift cards to use. I found that if I gave them to new customers as they signed up that they would never spend them. so now I send them out after their first purchase after they see the quality of merchandise. I do try to bring different items to the website that are new and different every day so keep checking back now and then. You just may find something you like. You can also send me an email as to what you would like to see on the website which helps me locate products to add that people would like to buy. Thank you again for responding and feel free to sign up and shop. I currently have a 20% discount going for all mylot members just by typing in MYLOT in coupon box at checkout. If I get enough shoppers from here. will keep the discount indefinitely. By the way gift cards are on sale for a few days so hopefully you find gift cards a solution to all your gift buying occasions and help a charity of your choice at the same time while saving money for yourself at the same time. By the way. I also do fundraisers if you have a particular school church or favorite charity that you would like to raise money for, let me know and see what we can work out for a price break for them. I am the owner of the website so you do get to work directly with me when setting up fundraisers. elaine
