Hey Mylotters
Ive been playing Pokemon Platinum on the Dsi recently and Ive spent about 50 hours playing it (Never thought i'd say that lol) but seriously its a pretty good game.
Now I'm wondering about the shiny Pokemon i was lucky enough to encounter a shiny Pikachu once but that was on one of the older Pokemon games like Pokemon red or blue.
Have you seen or even caught a shiny Pokemon?
Let us know cause I'm quite interested to see just how rare seeing one is.
Thanks in advance for any responses:)

Well i caught shiny bellsprout back in the day when i played Pokemon Crystal(which btw is the best pokemon game ever). But since then i haven't any. I tried chaining with the pokeradar but it was so boring that i soon abandoned it. You need a lot patience and luck to encounter a shiny. But i don't think that the capture rate of shiny is any different compared to the normal one.

I've seen maybe 4-5 since the GSC days, just recently I encountered a shiny Floatzel in Diamond.

I once saw a shiny Parasect in FireRed version, on the Safari Zone. Unfortunately, on the Safari Zone pokemon can flee, and the parasect ran from me before I could capture him. Shiny pokemon are very, but VERY rare, the chances of seeing one are 1 in 8192 battles. You have to be VERY lucky to see one.

hey, no, I never seemed to have been luck enough to encounter a shiny pokemon, I would of loved to though, but there are no difference between normal and shine, some pokemon even look worse when they are shiny.
