About a year ago, I posted a discussion about the Philippine Charter Change. I guess, some people are not so concerned at that time and the said discussion wasn't able to get a lot of reactions. But this time, the resolution has been passed to change the Philippine Constitution. I am working in the government service but I am not saying I like the present leadership. I am for a change but it will not be for the expansion of the term of any position. Pinoys and even non-Filipino mylotters, my friends, what can you say about the passing of the said bill, the Constitutional Assembly? What can the country, the people can expect in the near future if Charter Change will pursue?

There is should never be any charter change before the 2010 election. If they want changes in the constitution, they have to wait till the people have finally voted for new people who will lead the government both local and national. There should never be expansion of any term of office. New leaders should be elected first and this charter change should not be pushed for that purpose. "Mahiya naman sila!"

I am for change but I am not for it if the change was made rather very fast and did not really go for deliberation. they literally took advantage that they in the majority would be there and the minority was taken for granted and literally derailed them. The manner of voting was also questionable as they were only required to aye and nay. There was really no counting of the votes there. Well there is really something fishy going around the in the Congress.

Hopefully, constitutional change can be beneficial to all Filipinos and not just for few individuals. Personally, I am tired listening to the never-ending barking of politicians on how our country should be run, but up to now, they failed to find exact solutions. Hopefully, this new change will not be the springboard for another form of rampant corruption.

I want change but it depends on what. Hopefully if cha-cha is approved, it's for the better, heck, the best. I don't want the said "change" to benefit those who are not worth it. I won't be counting to much on this though.

I am not Filipino but from all the responses from Filipinos I can see that the Philippine Charter Change sounds quite good, sometimes change can be proven good. Good luck with everything!
