How do I connect a OPTIMUS PRO SWS-250 subwoofer to samsung tv/monitor?

connected the audio white and red to the back of the subwoofer and to the back of the tv/monitor.Then connected the speakers to the back of the subwoofer, and I'm getting no sound.
