I was in the same fix few months ago. My case was a little different than yours. I used to feel inferior in my group as they were novel freaks, and were fond of reading newspapers and articles. So, I started with newspaper..and it did help me significantly. I learnt new words, their use and all. As you say, you read english everyday, I suggest you to "use" it while conversing with your friends or start writing..like maintaining a diary.
