Do you rate discussions and comments as (+) (-) (!)?

Yeah I sure do rate a lot. I rate the discussion that I responded to. I rate all of the responses that I get whenever I start a discussion. I also rate the comments that my responses.^_^ I usually rate a (+) on all of them but there are those very rare occasions that I have rated negatively. Those are the extremes though. If ever there was something that I did not like in a particular response or comment I just leave it be. As for the (!) Ive used it only twice, I think. One is for a really derogatory flaming response I got in one of my discussions, which later got to be deleted, and the other instance was when I accidentally posted something that was supposed to be a private message.

Yup! I do rate all the comments and responses in others' discussions as well as in my own ones. Though I don't think the person gets to know about these ratings anyhow. I think they should allow us to see whether our response was positive or negative!! And I would like to know, if rating someone's response earns us a bit?

I rate most of the time. But not always. I think they have nothing to do with earning. But they influence the other person's star rating.

hi divkris, my dear friend, i always make a plus (+). i have never rated any other remark , never. i dont feellike. i feel this is the only one atleast for me.

I rate them positive and not been giving negative rate. I leave it if it is negative. If the respond is relevant and give clear answer in some question i rate it positively either in my own discussion or others discussion.

I rarely mark any discussion + or – or report any discussion for abuse. Though that option is there, I don’t attach much importance to it. Its only when a discussion has really touched me somewhere that I rate it +. Regarding – rating, again I seldom use it, maybe I have used it only twice or thrice and that also for discussions where the poster was directly and explicitly abusive.

I always rate a discussion (+) if it has interested me enough to respond to it. Even if I don't agree with what the poster is saying, I believe he/she deserves a (+) if it has inspired me to respond. - Derek

Yeah i do. I haven't rated someone negative yet but i do rate them positive as much as possible whenever i don't forget. Sometimes i'm too busy that i can't be bothered to rate. I'm sure if i can earn but if yes, than that's good. I think that's a good motivation factor for myLotters to rate eachother.

If the response is really good and informative, I always give positive rating. Especially for those responses that I find very helpful to me. I am an appreciative person and sometimes i even give best response. Eventhough the person who I gave positive comment do not know, im still happy. I know in another way he/ she will be honored.

I usually don't rate the discussions. Sometime ago I rated many discussions positive and I found that it didn't make a difference in my earnings. So, I stopped it. I have a doubt - whether uploading pictures make a difference in our earnings? Please help.

I do rate the comments in discussions that I start.The comments that I think are good i give a (+). The comments that I do not agree with or are not up to the mark, I just don't rate them. I don't want to rate anyone as negative. Just coz someone has a different opinion does not mean I need to rate them as negative.That is how I see it :)

Hii friend, Yes you are right you don't earn anything from it but it is mostly used so that mylotters can provide their views. I do rate + whenever i like any response but i rate + to each and every one who answers my questions hehe. I rarely might have rated - to any response. happy mylotting.

i try to rate people as much as possible tho sometimes i seem to forget. I don't start many discussions so I don't use the best response option. I will try to remember to do it from now on.

Yes i do take time to read every comment users post in my discussions and rate it positive or negative. I also rate all the discussions i respond to the rate the discussion. Its always a good practice to rate every discussion so the discussion is highly rated.

no i dont rate mylotters with exclamation points, negative or positive. For one, i dont start discussions that much.. i am more of the responder type. i find it easier to respond than starting my own discussions. I also love the interaction better. So instead of responding with a positive or negative sign, i wold rather respond and wait for a reply on the response that i give. Thats more lively and i get to learn a lot of things by doing that than responding people with negative or positive!

in reality there were not so often where i reted +/- a discussion in itself!!So normally that ones i answer i think it is normally i found them interesting and so trying to share my opinion and surely there are much that i coul not have the time to answer but it will be interesting or better it will be ok to assign a +!! Seldom happened to me thinking about mylot discussions where they are totally bad to give them a -!! So i think sometimes it can happen to give a + plus but it is really seldom..may be the first reaction to a discussion is to post your opinion about the question and not to assign a judgement as + or -!

i don't do it often but yes, i do rate comments and discussions from time to time, if i really find them meaningful or it really touches me. sometimes, the ratings that we give might actually help others to have a better star value and all, and from my experience, it is really nice to have a 10 star. it's a great feeling to me anyway.

Yes, I do, this affects the mylot ratings and reputation on your profile and account. but mostly it affects your earnings as well. I don't know why some prefer to lower their reputation down, probably because they don't want it and doesn't prefer to bother with the reputation. i rated discussions + when it's good and - it's a bit insulting.

I rate the answers to my discussions to show myLotters that I am really reading their responses and that I do not start a discussion that I don't intend to participate in.
