I remember when I was going to school for the first time. It was the first day of school but I was not already enrolled. I was crying to mother saying, "I want to go to school now mom. It is already the first day and when will I be enrolled, mom?" I was too eager to go to school at that time? I was so excited. And school was really fun for me. Then last night, I was so happy to see the same eagerness and excitement with my son, Patrick. The usual bedtime for us, during the vacation is 10 or 11 in the evening. But last night, it was nearly eight when he told his mother that he wants to go to bed. It was so early for us. One thing more, Patrick always sleeps with us in a room. But last night, he slept with his siblings in another room. Maybe, he expects to wake-up early too, like his elder sister that goes to school at 7 in the morning. And yes, today, Patrick woke-up at 7. He took his breakfast, took a bath, dressed-up. He went to school, ahead of me, and he even left his sister who supposed to bring him to the center. Funny thing, right? I hope, his eagerness to go to school, the excitement and concentration to learn will continue.

That is wonderful, neil! I hope his enthusiasm for school never dwindles and he continues to have such a wonderful spirit and eagerness to learn! My two sons were exactly opposite of each other. My oldest didn't want to go to school. He cried the first day but at least he didn't mind it so much after the first day. It was still hard to pry his arms from around my legs but once he found out that they had some really great toys there, he didn't mind it too much. My youngest son was especially eager to get to school, probably because he saw all the neat stuff and other kids to play with that they had at school when I took him along to drop off his brother and wanted to stay and play with everyone. I had to create "homework" for him so he could sit and do it with his brother, which made him a little happier, but he couldn't wait until the day he'd go to school and stay. I wish all kids had such spirit. I'm glad to hear that Patrick has such an eagerness and I, too, hope it continues!

Impressive son of yours. I guess my son is somewhat like that but he is not as eager as yours is. For us our son an incoming grade 1 is as excited to go back to school but is enjoying his vacation right now. Their classes was further stopped because of this flu virus scare that is why they extended the opening on the 15 of June.

How nice of your son to be so enthusiastic about schooling. Other children dread schooling because they don't wanna be kept in a class for long hours. They'd prefer to play more than schooling. But your son seems to be very excited with schooling. If he keeps this attitude then he surely will become a bright boy.
