A lot of people talk about wedding song in a confusing situation. They said, it is a song, sang in a church or in a reception, or being played while marching down the aisle or dancing. What is a wedding song really?

I have also thought about that. But I guess the best description of it is the song that is played during the Eucharistic Ceremony that the couple have chosen, that somewhat resembles or expresses their love for one another.

I think, a wedding song is a song being sung specifically when the bride is about to go to the altar or the song sang after the wedding ceremonies. It is one song that the couple chooses that clearly resembles their love for each other.

It depends on the couple. Some wanted their wedding song to be played on their first dance. Others want it played while marching down the aisle while others opt it to be played as a second song on the communion. My mom told me that their wedding song was played during the signing of contracts.

It actually depends. A wedding song , which is a choice mostly by the bride can be sang when the bride marches, at the reception or even during communion. However, during communion , the song of choice has to be liturgical song. Some brides choose liturgical song as their wedding song.
I've worked in a Catholic Church for 7 years and that is how we coordinate with the couple who wishes to get married in the church.
