I submitted an article regarding caps on the tasks available. Received a rejection message. This is the first time I've tried this on myLot. I accepted the task, submitted and myLot sent a message saying it was rejected since my article wasn't about the title of the task. I thought it was which is why I submitted initially. How can I prevent this from happening again? Thanks in advance.

Try to use the key word(s) as many times as possible. I do my best to use it/them in the first paragraph. Then as many times throughout the task & most definitely in the last paragraph. In my humble opinion, there is one checker who is very particular about her approvals. Her rejection notice is much sterner than any others. Just be more careful next time. Don't get discouraged, they get easier with each submission!!!

If it makes you feel any better, mine was rejected too.

I was irritated but at the same time, thought I was submitting information about a cap when in fact it went to some baseball card submission. Now the subject is no longer there. It was changed to a different baseball team. Since I don't have the capability to change it, think myLot removed it. Am not going to waste my time until I thoroughly understand where the article needs to go. Here's my next question: do I accept the offer and then type the information in the box provided? Seems like it should be the other way around but I wasn't able to type or copy and paste into the box without accepting the offer first. Thanks so much for your help with responding to this discussion.

(1) Accept the task. I don't usually look to see what it is about as I'm going to have to do some research anyway. (2) After accepting, you can either write it there or go to the "In-Progress" tab under tasks. I write mine in Word. Read & reread it to verify my wording & spelling. Since I'm used to using the ampersand for my and, I do a find & change ALL the ampersands to ands. Then I cut & paste into the box. Once in the box, I read it again to make sure I haven't missed anything. (3) By accepting & going to "In-Progress", it will cut down on making mistake on the subject you are writing about. I had the same problem as you did on my first one. (4) I've found that I make less mistakes if I accept then go to "In-Progress" to begin my work. (5) If I've accepted one that my research doesn't give me anything to work with, I go to the bottom & forfeit the task. That gives it back & reposts for somebody else to have a chance to do. This is what works for me. You may find something that works better for you!!!

Hello, carolbee! I tried some writing tasks, five got approved while three are rejected. When you fail, don't give up and just keep on trying. But on that case, your task got rejected because of the reason that you had mentioned. Some tasks got a bug in it. Maybe the task had given you a wrong keyword so your task got rejected because of that thing. You can contact the task creator when you want to ask about that problem. You can also try the easier tasks, the research task (reward of twenty cents) and posting task (ten cents). They are available sometimes so always check out for tasks. Happy mylotting!

Thanks so much for your good response. Think it was all my fault. I did keep a copy of the article to see what the odds are it will be listed in the task section again. Probably slim to none.

I am not sure. I gave up on the tasks a long time ago because they never worked for me either. I never see any there most times when I check too. Some of them are very confusing also.

Glad I'm not the only one who doesn't quite understand what's happening with the tasks. I may try again another day, week or month. It seemed easy until my article was tossed into another task and it was refused. Thanks for responding.

Sorry I can't help. I have been too busy with other things to even check them out! I hope you get to the root of the problem so you find a solution!

Hi carolbee, I have never done the tasks as I don't understand head nor tail of it but that is just not right, they should have accepted your work. Tamara

I'm real turned off with it for now. I did write 4 paragraphs of their required topic but they rejected it. Seems my article was tossed into another topic which had nothing to do with what I was writing about. Thanks for responding.
