You can try Amazon Mechanical Turk. It is run by Amazon. People posts tasks they need done. The downside is that you end up getting paid like 50 cents for an hour of work. I still do it sometimes because right now 50 cents matter.

i do believe you can actually earn substantial income on the internet, though i dont really understand affiliater marketing and forex trading seems to be a complex online job but you can actually make money by writing articles and doing freelance writing jobs for blogs and they actually pay very well, you can even make hundreds of dollars depending on how much you can write

Eurydice_11, I do not want to be a dampener, but I'd just like you to be more factual here. If you have visited most of the referrals here, I am sure you will agree with me that the earnings is just not viable. If you have done your maths, you will know that it will take some time and a surmountable amount of efforts and monies before you can become as successful as those testimonials. And time and money is what you can ill afford with your present personal situation. I feel that you should still try and find yourself a decent paying job and do the online venture on the sideline. As for your dad's medication, you should try and find more concrete solutions like health insurance, welfare or reliefs for low income families and etc.. Don't wait for the worst to happen and then start panicking. Health conditions most of them today are manageable, so you should find ways to manage his condition so that he will be less reliant to the expensive medication or treatments. If you have other siblings, I feel it is also time to start planning to share equal responsibilities for your aged parents.
