How do you feel about Neopets cheat programs?

I personally belong to a site with users who cheat on neopets. There are score senders, autobuyers, programs that help with altador cup games. There are even programs that help you play games like kacheek seek and bilge dice. However, I'd like to know what some other people think of this. Is it completely wrong if everybody has access to these types of programs? Would you ever risk your account? Have you cheated before, and if so, how did it turn out?

I have to agree with Fox on that one. Eventually people get caught and when they do, TNT freezes them. What is the point of playing the games or doing competitions when you aren't really doing the same stuff as everyone else? Look at the games at the site like Sutek's Tomb or Word Poker. Unless you play them at the beginning of the month and get an awesome score, there is no way to get a trophy because people cheat. It's pretty sad when adults do that then go to the boards and complain that their account was frozen. It sets a really bad example for the kids that are there.

Not everybody gets caught though - that's why the high score tables are littered with cheaters. If everybody got caught, these things wouldn't go on. The point isn't to avoid being frozen forever, it's to sell the accounts for real money before you do. I personally don't complain when I'm iced, but I will agree with you that it is pretty annoying when people do.

Selling accounts for real money eh? Now that's what I call playing with fire. Legally, neopets accounts have no monetary value, regardless of how many 'neopoints' you might have. And dishing out accounts that have a high likelihood of being frozen is a horrible thing to do!

What is the point of playing neopets if you use these kind of cheats, it makes the whole thing pointless at least that is my opinion. Part of the fun of neopets is working for things and this site takes that away.
How do you feel about stealing pets because if you're ok with this site no doubt you would steal a rare pet just because you can and can't be bothered working for it.
The only cheats I use are for the games like the 4 for faerie bubbles as there is no way to get the avatar/complete the game without using them.

In response to both of you - I don't personally use the auto adopters to steal pets, as it isn't at all profitable. I only use the cheat programs to earn neopoints, usually though game score sending, and then I sell the neopoints. To me, there is more fun in making a decent dollar profit off of no work then there is to struggle away playing fairly.

thanks for the information on this neopets and cheat programs. tell me. are neopets some kind of myspace and facebook app? if so, what are the stakes. do you actually get money from the game or from using the cheat program? i have never cheated on a game site, and don't want to. this is because i wouldn't want to be banned. on the other hand, i am not going to go and get all moral and self righteous about the cheating thing. we each have our own moral code and alot of people are not being real with themselves when they say they wouldn't never do it. alot of people who have go into a moral hizzy. sometimes it's the people that just don't start acting all saintly that is actually more honerable and won't ever cheat. just something to think about. p.s. only do what you can afford after analyzing a situation. when in doubt about the moral thing, the next best thing to do is think about what's in your best interest.

I hate them :/
Short and simple, they make me sick, and very angry.
Especially those sites that sell OTHER people's accounts. They give real money for hackers to steal Neopians' accounts.
I could rant for 15 minutes on this topic without stopping for breath.

ROFL, even neopets has cheating programs??? I knew certain games such as sims would have cheats in it, but neopet never crossed in my mind XD. And yes , it is wrong to have access in these kinds of programs..besides, you won't feel the thrill of playing the games in there if you already know you're way out.

Cheating in online games is pathetic... games are meant to be for fun and relaxation, cheating takes the fun and challenging aspect completely out of a game. Where is the sense of accomplishment if you achieve your goal through cheating? Not to mention you might get banned and lose everything you spent your time on. It is so dumb.

I personally don't like the cheat programs. First of all, cheating is just wrong, period. Second its against the neo rules and I would not risk my account just to earn a few extra neopoints. I do that just fine on my own anyway. Third, this is a family site, what are we teaching the kids on there if we are always plugging cheat programs? That they should cheat when they can? Or should we be teaching them to work hard at something?
