After doing some research on Paris Hilton, (yes, I know research) I noticed a couple of odd things about her. I saw videos when she was in Japan, Turkey etc.and this girl didn't know a thing or two. Everything was translated to her. That's when I couldn't help wonder. Why is it that society judges you on your looks, weight, hair color and the latest trend, but not on your brains.
All we need is to be up to date with fashion, starve or become anorexic in order to be thin, bimbo head is a must and we make 25 million dollars a year. In the contrary for the rest of us with a brain, 35K sounds satisfying.
Myself and many other people that I have met know at least 2-3 languages or will at least do the salutaion part on our own. We were working, going to school and coming home to be a parent, a sister or a caretaker. But, this rich girl not just have all the money in the world and time they can't even study something? Has anyone ever told them that money can fly away from your hands? There are many rich people that have lived that style and have ended broke.

Don't get jealous like that, every people have their own way. They "stupid" but rich, so what? That's their life, and I don't want to be like them. I think which term do you asking about that, if you asking this question on entertainment world so the answers is Y-E-S, they don't need your brain, just be pretty, sexy, or whatever fit on TV, then you'll rich. But when we talk on business forum, forget about that. Look the "paris hilton parfum" which is sucks, she doesn't even count in the world of business.

I have no intention of being jealous of anyone who is rich. I'm blessed and content with what I got. What I'm saying is, if I had money I will get in a top university and learned a couple of languages. What's the point of been rich, pretty but dumb. I'm pretty sure guys will fall but eventually they will run out because an empty head is annoying when you can't carry a conversation.

I am different kind of thinker.
The truth is this that u r the soul living in this body. Ur father is supreme soul. And whole of this world planets and stars are his creation and he created all this for his childrens. If ur supreme father can creat all this then its possible 4 u to understand this world. But God send u to play here also without cheating. And so in first few births God give u very rich family. But further births and based on what u do now.
So if u are good person now and donate education knowledge to others and money to needed childrens then in next birth as per ur good account God give u everything that u dont have to do hard work to live in this work. This is birth after birth planning .
And this planning is similar to life planning as u study hard to get good job. So work hard not only in study but to be a good person for good life in next birth.

I think that rich people don't study because they are pretty confident that they would get anywhere without doing much effort unlike the poor ones. Rich people have a greater advantage in terms of connections because most of them interact with their same kind.
While the poor people study to get rich, to earn money but it seems harder for them because they don't have so much connection. In companies, they usually start in lower-level job positions unlike those rich people because they're usually friends (or family friends) with the CEO of the company.
Often times, it's not what you know but it's who you know.

actually u have the point but for me you don't get the real reason! Why poor people study hard and rich people won't. Eventually poor people in terms of financial are asked their parent study hard so that when you finish you'll get a good future. The question is how many people getting rich when employing for a company??? 1 2 3 4? But rich people think, study our business will so that in the future your the one hold it and make it better! actually the Question is not specific! The logic here is Rich people and poor People, they think different!

I agree to them that poor people strive to be successful in life so there's only hope is their education. Education is the only treasure that we have that no one gonna get it from us. I think rich people don't prioritize education because they have everything they want. Money can buy anything but not the happiness. If you want to change your life you need to finish your education to be able to be rich someday.

It's not poor people who study, it's people who want more than what they have. And it's not the rich who don't study, it's usually their children who are born with a sliver spoon in their mouth and don't see any reason to put the effort and invest in themselves when they already have what they want.

I see your point on rich people, well, they were just born lucky. In the end when it comes to individual skills I'm sure P.Hilton never liked studying so she chose a career in being an actress which is completely alright in my books. As long as she doesn't do anything illegal I guess she can burn away all the money she wants. But if she does do something bad, I hope she gets punished for it. Just let her be and let's concentrate on who does what best. In the end, even though I earn a fraction of what she does, I'd say I have a more loving caring family and I'm happy with what I have. If she is happy at buying her junk then it's all up to her. I am not jealous of her what so ever. At least I earn my own money from my own skills.

Well, people has different perspectives in life. Those in middle class family still prefer to study not just to earn money and to be rich but to gain more knowledge. Some are studying to enhance their skills and some are aiming to have a lot of Bachelors degree. Those people who don't study doesn't need money and don't need any knowledge to gain. But some people can't afford to study and they prefer just to work to live and learn the strategy's in life. Education is very expensive to achieve yet we need more struggle before we get the flying colors of journey.

very much in this world, it is the survival of the fittest. The poor has no assets under his name, thus tht person need to study, in fact have to be outstanding, in order to work, to gain money, to earn assets.
however, the rich, has assets under his name, which is possible to be passed down to the next generation and so on.
i have seen one person also, ever since the day he is born, he has to pay cpf( a fund based in singapore whereby part of the income are put into this fund for retirement preparation).
so ultimately, blame on god ba.. nothing is fair.. =)

A lot of educated people don't learn a second language so I take offense to the argument that is makes a person less intelligent.

well if you think about this. dont you think at first that these rich people were poor at first?? well they are some born rich, but you can't help it, we very well know what they are capable of. If they dont study they are only showing there stupidy on it and moreover we have blame the media for getting us to think like this. Altogether they are good and bad people in the world.

These people were born into rich lifestyles and compare ourselves to them would be insane. Our upbring is totally different and to understand why would also be impossible. I study hard so one day i can have baby paris and spoil boys. Im a first generation and that is why i study

Yes, it's sad how rich people's lives suck, because they don't know anything.
I can say from personal experience that I come from a rich neighborhood, and I'm considered poor there, but all the kids there are INCREDIBLY stupid and my IQ is probably a multiple of theirs.

This is a pretty easy answer because most poor people know the value of money, and they also want to be richer when they want to grow up. Rich people also dont know the value of money, and they spend very much money without thinking about it.

I have gone thourgh all the discussions. But has any one ever thought, the rich, even without studying, got richer handiling thier family business or like, whereas the well educated poor hardly reaches to that position. Why ? The education does not gives everything ! The lessons of business , what the rich has it in blood can never be replaced to poor. This does not mean the education is not important, rather it is very important. But the rich children always takes out the neccessary education for getting their business run nicely.
Do you know the Henry Ford's argument? Ones challanged by an advocate what does he know, he has told he knows everything ! Upon being asked a typical question, he has called his scientist. Advocate objected and argued, what YOU know, not your scientist. Ford argued if I can hire a scientist, it is my knowledge.
See this is the business.

I think Paris is an exception. She and a few other are famous for no reason. They are what they are because we live in a society where people put to much emphasis on materialism. There are rich people who studies and there are also poor people who have no desire to study. They would prefer to complain about the rich etc and would not attend school or find a job. I guess I am saying it's an individual thing. You might not be rich in materialism, but you are rich in what really matters so be proud of yourself. I wish I could speak another language.

It sounds interesting that poor people study and rich people do not study. Yes, it may be due to the fact that the rich people have everything and whatever they wish, they have that with them and hence they fail to understand the true value of education wheras in the case of poor, they could earn their bread and butter only if they study well and hence that may be the reason for the poor people to study well than the richer ones

i agree with flaredust. as per your statememt, money can fly away anytime, ofcourse they know about it. but for a person who is in the entertainment industry may or may not have the need to study so much. they need to be creative, good looking, talents, attractive etc ..regular people like us need people like them to keep us entertained.. just imagine a world without music, movies or anyform of entertainment. life gets worse and stressfull. we must be content with what we have, we get rewarded for what we work. im my opinion by comparing us with others we are degrading ourselves. we may not realize how tough their lives would be, their lives r always under scrutiny, paparazzi's following all the time, have to please everybody,no security, no privacy, the whole world would know your personal lives and u have to handle gossips, rumours.. dont you think we live a far better life than them? moreover not knowing a language doesnt mean that she is uneducated.. well i m not a paris hilton's fan. but this is something that all of us should realize, we just see them as rich and famous.. but who knows whether they are happy or sad, educated or uneducated?

that's very common in my life.
i don't have much money, and in order to survive, i have to study for ever.
i can list some of my studying experience if you don't think its too boring
but i know someone (i dont want to mention her name here )from little that she can have many things which i could not simply becoz i dont have money.eg,when we were little, she could have as many lovely dolls as she wanted while i had to look near to see her playing but not able to buy one becoz my parents earned little.
i also know someone whose parents are of lots of money,he doesnt have to study well but his parents are able to get him a job no matter how silly he is.
then another guy i acquainted with someday, his parents are like gold mines.when i talked about getting certificates and studying hard is important,he simply laughed and said he just use MONEY TO BUY CERTIFICATES!with arrogance,he named several certificates such as computer test, english language test and so on.and,he slao said that:"a hundred thousand or two is A TINY THING to him".
i dont understand.
i am willing to study and to struggle for my self and my family, but why they can have so much money without any diligence or hard-working?

Rich people don't know how poor people like us live. Our houses get foreclosed on while they put additions to there mansions or "castles." Poor people study because we want to be successful like the rich and not be in the situation that they live in. I have a tough budget and I know I work my tail off everyday to be where I am today. Money is the root of all evil because everyone needs it in this time and we hustle and work to get it. So if your poor and young like me you have to study, go to college, earn a degree to make a living, support yourself and your family. But I'm proud to be poor because I rather be smart and poor than be dumb and rich. We make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give.
