For me it is my fourth company. I started my job right after college graduation on some contractor company, only for 3 month I quit because the job is too hard for me, it require me too work from morning until midnight. Then I join another contractor company, the job schedule not very stressful but what I don't like is the payment, it's so small, so I quitting those job after my 1st year there. After long time jobless I join different sector company, not contractor but consultant. In this office I stay for almost 2 years and finally got very good offering from my connection at a new but same sector company with higher sallary, absolutely I accept those offer. So, here I am now, I think it is my last jump, I feel comfortable here. How about you?

Teacher is one interesting job, because we could help people learning and also earn money in the same time. A noble job I think, but I don't know why on my country teacher seems become a "second line" job, people prefer job like banker, technician, programmer or something like that. When they can't find one the second option they will consider is become a teacher.

Wow, that's pretty shocking for me, you knot what? because as far as I know India is one of the top country on IT skills, there a re a lot of scientist in your country right? So, why are many teacher doing like that? Is it because they don't have enough salary. I'm far away for your country so I really don't know the reality there.

buddy its good that teacher could stop to fall to 3rd grade in ur country.....
actually in my country almost 99 percent teachers are just wasting time of students and taking money from their parents, not only because of over clever mind but because of stupidity of students.
in university level teacher open the book and dictate everything in book to students and students write them on their notebooks............... and teacher do not even think to explain to students about what they are writing and why in rough note book.
actually in school time the base of students remains very very weak especially in maths trigonometry integration differentiation Laplace etc.....and in college teachers dont try to make the base and use this weakness to teach higher things where students cant ask any question to teacher and if students ask for base teacher says its not my job.......
so buddy its a chain process to get high or low........and govt dont have brain to think so deeply........

As long as you love your job, that's the important aspect. Even you earn high salary per month, that seems still not right when you don't really like your job. That will bound your skill on the same spot, I mean you never give your best shot when there is no love in it, automatically your impressing skill still hiding inside of you, but whenever you really love your job, you'll give all your best right away. You're deepest passion could reveal your true skill hidden inside, your spirit will flow over, and with no time you'll reach higher position.

I have only quit 3 jobs throughout my work history. I am currently a student and an online business owner. I should have allready completed my degree but I have been lollygagging about getting it done because of the job market. I have owned my online business for the last 8 years but right now there is no business to speak of so I spend most of my days playing video games and checking my emails for some sign of life.

I've never quit a job in my life. Haven't been in a job where I did hate it so much that would urge me to do so. Most of my jobs were cool, mild, but not that bad to say. I started my first job working at Subway Sandwich, quit that and then went into a career in computers working in a Helpdesk for 4 years, sad to say we all got laid off since the company closed down then it went on with doing my own business, joined temp computer jobs and now in a company where I enjoy my job where I am today. There should be no excuse of quitting a job. In this day and age it's best to have and keep a job through these tough times of a bad economy.

Actually I also don't use word "hate" for a reason why I'm quitting my job. The words that describe my movement is "opportunity", mostly I change a job because there is a good opportunity I saw on another company. Not just about salary, but also about career. On my second job I quit because salary reason, and the third I quit because I think my career on that office going stagnant, no significant improvement. When there is another offer which give me good position and salary, that company will have my consideration of joining, but one thing I must mention here is the importance of atmosphere on the job environment, interaction between employee and employer.

Do you mean you are jobless? or may be you are college fresh graduate. Today is hard to find job, but that don't mean we must give up our future. Everything is possible when we believe. Think positive is the must, after that give more effort like finding your relation, creating connection to other people who have potential skill. May be you'll find someone who invite you to join on their business, or may be you'll find better opportunity as an entrepreneur, creating your job and even have your own employee.

If I have better option, I definitely going for something new, and something better for me. All I need is the better salary, and good benefit for me. That is why we work so hard for right? I don't mind to learn something new, as long as I have stable and good pay from the job. Actually, on the past 5 years, I only jump from one job to another.

You won't take a risk so you'll hard to find an opportunity. Pretty much the same like doing business, finding a new job also apply the same philosophy, with a bigger risk come a bigger profit. That mean, if you want something out of ordinary you must brave enough break your safety circle. Search any opportunity possible for you, you must pinch the ball, the ball isn't come close to you if you don't want to chase it.

i started working right after graduation quin Apr,1993.. i chose to leave because i wanted to do prove to myself that i could something else, so i left in Dec,1997.
From 1998 to 2000 - i worked as a Purchasing Officer, i quit the job because my husband thought it would be best that i stayed at home.. already had 3 kids by then, but after 4 months - my husband had to 'reconsider' and i had to go back to work - i was lucky to get job as a Production Planner, but i quit that job at the end of 2001, because i received a 'better offer' - unfortunately, the 'better offer' wasnt exactly better - i didnt like the management and quit in less than a year - that was in 2002..
i was jobless after that... tried to run a 'small business' which seems to grow 'smaller' every month - then in March 2003 - i got a temporary job - replacing a secretary going for maternity leave.. when my contract was almost over, the boss who i worked for (temporarily), recommended to my current employer..
so.. since June,2003.. i have been with my current employer..
i've never really counted,.. but now i know i have quit jobs 4 times.. the last one was a 'temporary position'.. that doesnt count, right..

Sometimes when a woman have a family, she must choose between her family or her career. Moreover when she's having new baby, she must consider even carefully, is that job fit with her right now and then, is it still okay for her after she having a baby. Many question will automatically come out on a young mother, starting when she's pregnant. Other than that, a young mother must also consider sparing his time between doing a job and take care her children, a balance is the key to success whether on her family or on her career.

Hi, I've been with several organizations since I first had a job. My work were mostly with project based organizations so it is short-lived but there were also some which I really quit.
The first one would be 3 months then, 7 years, then 10 months, then 4 months, then 1 and half years, then 6 months. LOL But here were also moments in between that I don't have work just staying at home and do chores.

What project based? Is it construction too? You're on the same college discipline like me I assume. Contractor is a hard job, I must have extraordinary energy, not only physical but also mentally hard. In the night I must calculate every thing that must be done in the morning, and when the morning come I must go to the field and controlling all filed worker activity. Sure the payment wort it, but it is very stressful, so I think I can manage those all by myself, I never have time to rest, that's the hardest part I can't continue on.

I quit my job only two times since I started a full time career. Once I was working in day and night and I quit the night shift job because it was too tiring and my mom warned me not to work so hard and I decided to take care of my health than making money.
I quit my job once again for a better option. I was working as an online tutor and I wanted to enter into e-learning industry. With god's grace I found a person who could refer me to a good company and I got the new job. I have been working with this job for more than 2 years.
Now, I am thinking about looking for a change for better growth in career.

Yes, it is better concerning our health beside chasing the money. That's why I quit my first job, actually has big salary but also with long hour working. For the early start there I already doesn't feel comfortable, and only with 3 month I fully decide to get out from there. I like the job which has balance, which mean I still have time for family too, also have time for some leisure and relaxing activity.

It's a common phynominon that young people are tending to change their jobs because of various reasons. It works on me and my classmates.A changable and changing society make us adjust our career goal sometimes.Actually,in my opinion, only starting our own business can make us more stable at our position.Be employed always make us in a passive status.

You right, I also want to build my own business. But, now I just need to save my income high enough to start a business. First start I'm not going to let go my job, because it is my main income stream right now, but instead of working on as an employee, I start to working on a part time work as entrepreneur. After I gain more success on my part time job, may be I will gradually change my direction to my own business and leave my "employee" status, change it to "employer". Wish me luck OK.

This is my first job after graduated from college a few years ago. It is always said that you got to switch job from time to time so that you can ask for a better pay and aim for senior posts in my sector. Yet, I think I have met a good company with a about average payroll, not too bad benefits, quite decent working environment, not very long working hours, friendly colleagues, etc. All these make me stay here for over 5 years already.

Wow, that's a long journey on one company. You must be really comfortable with your job now, that make you stay there 5 years or even more. I have read some article said that average people quitting their job three time before they find their last and most comfortable job. For you it's the first, but you must be really lucky finding a job most comfortable for you at the first pick. You could grow faster there, good luck.

You are an ambitious person I guess, very hard worker also, because on your 18th year you already start your job when some other still doing their school or college. Moreover you achieve your senior position only on 23, very young age but full of experience. Improve your skill more, so you could get more than a position as an employee. You could do better, starting your own business instead of doing another person's command, be an entrepreneur and take your freedom as a success businessman.

I have worked at a horse track, leasing apartments, title company, construction permit planning, and now in the oil industry. The track was my first job and I worked there for 3 years. I quit to go to college. Then I leased apartments for 4 months before being offered a job at a title company. After I graduated college I went into permit planning where I worked for 3 years before construction tumbled last year. Now I work for an oil service tools company. I love it and think this will be my home for a while. I don't think it hurts too much as long a there's is a legit reason for changing jobs.

Oil industry, sounds hard too. I don't really know inside view of oil industry, so I don't know how hard that work really is. What I only know is the payment or salary there pretty above average, true? On my country, oil industry worker salary could expand almost 10 time than other employee average. If that words describe your job, you absolutely a very hard worker style, you must be prepared at any time when you're needed.

My last company closed in 2006, and it didn't really relate to this economics crisis. I only worked for two companies. After the last company I worked for closed, I started my own business. ^.^

Oh, that's great. So what I'm imagining is wrong, I think now you're jobless, but you said you started your own business then. That's the spirit what I'm talking about. We shouldn't give up our fate, if there are no vacancy just make our own vacancy for our self, start our own business. After that even we could helping people creating new employment.
