About 10 years ago when I use to sit at my window I could see an open space filled with green grass and trees. but now whenever I see out side the window I can only see the other building built very close to my building. I can hardly see and trees now. I miss the sun rays coming through the window. I miss the stars that I use to look at nights. what about you? what do you see outside your window? is the view changed? do you like the change?

Welcome to the concrete jungle my friend. How sad is it huh!
I am sure you must miss that green view.
Its a similar case with me. There was greenery everywhere outside.
But now on one side of the house I still see some of the trees and some greenery, as it is inside the community we live in. But on the other side the view is not all that appealing. There is a building a few meters away.
I guess we just have to put up with it.
Happy myLotting and God bless you! :)

Thank you for telling me the new way to describe this "concrete jungle". It is good to know that your community has given some space for the tress. My society doesn't have that too. If I have to see greenery then I have to go to a near by public garden which is built by government for children to play.

We just moved our computer into the front room , so I'm looking out the front windows instead of the back ones now . I see the sandy road, a broken down house and the ocean . Soon I should be seeing my husband pulling up , hmmm I bet he's late again.. argggh!

Its the same with me. Having no tress is just lifeless. At least you have a cute neighbor.

Having your own lawn is nice and flowers in that is even better. Take care of your lawn.

Life is so changed nowadays you rarely get to see the greenery around you like you used to in past days.

Before we moved to our own house 4 years ago, we lived in a cottage of the university and we lived on the second floor. the windows were huge and I used to sit by and people watch LOL because the street is just below but we have a small garden before the street. I can see the apartment right across the street where students lived. Not much of a view but the big tree right across is nice.
The back view, the window by the kitchen, I can see a not well kept garden by the downstairs neighbor and two huge rain trees.
Now, in our new home, the window is not huge and when you see out your eyes will be directed to the wooden gate and into the street and beyond a walled-fence which the ballfield stands. At least we have a small garden in the front. The view from the side of the house where we have a small terrace, well, not good because you can see the apartment for the faculty of the university and it's the back of the apartment so you can see laundry, etc,

Nice discussion fella !! Well, its almost the same view here! I could see an apartment from my window and I just abhor it the most!
I cherish those good old days, we too had an open area in front of our bungalow.
Commercialization has wiped it off!!

It seems everyone facing the same thing. At least you have your bungalow. You can plant some trees in the garden of your bungalow and can see them growing big. I can only have some pots with plants like creepers to have that fresh feel. Make good use of the space that you have. keep the environment clean.

From where I sit, I can see the rain outside. I see coconut tress and the wide sea at the back of my house. I can still see the stars, the moon in the evening and all the beautiful scenery around my place. I guess it's one thing that I can treasure while living in a province/county.

Lucky you. I would also like to live in such a house. Try to keep it as it look now. Make sure you take a pic of all the scenery. I wish that I should remain the same forever or get more green and beautiful.

When I look out my front window I see my small front yard and am aware that I need to weed my flower beds. That needs to be changed. Beyond that I see a sand road and across from that a very small hotel, 6 rooms with thatched roofs and lots of palm trees. I also see the beach and the Gulf of Mexico, today it was very green and there were a couple of small boats skipping along. If I look up now that it is dark I see lots of stars, the moon rising and a few clouds in the sky. Ahhhhhhh, just another night in paradise!

i have a different situation with you guys..... im from the Philippines, outside my window all I see is green fields and tall trees.. Its refreshing to see these kinds of stuff rather than tall structures and sky scrapers.... But because of urbanization, little by little our home is starting to change..

Take as many photographs as possible for the memories as it wont be longer that everything will be completely changed.
