How did you decide what Job you wanted to do?

Hi everyone, havent done this mylot thing for a while but im goin to start getting back into hopefully :) Im unemployed and looking for work, but at the moment i am just looking for jobs i know i can do, i havent yet decided on a career or anything because i simply have no idea what i would like to do, i have a few ideas of my ideal job but to be honset i doubt they will ever happen because of the way i am and my skills etc. Anyway my question or discussion is, How did you decide on your career or your job, was it decided for you, did you just fall into it? following in a parents footsteps or keeping a family business going. also want to know how many people are happy with their choice in career.
