Nowadays we are getting the hot season here and that makes me so difficult to concentrate on my work. Specially while in the class, It becomes difficult for me to resist. I know, if I just took the support of the back bench to lean against, I would certainly feel asleep so I bravely tried myself to sit up straight as far as possible, but it seemed to be so much energy consuming. Most of the time, I slowly got dragged and started leaning against again. And again trying to come to the attention, I just sat up straight hehe...Too funny...I started yawning with my mouth closed and my eyes starts to wet hehe... how you do you feel about the hot weather... Happy mylotting...

Well no it doesn't make me feel lazy. Usually at hot weathers I most of the time feel annoyed I don't know but maybe because the hot weather can easily speed up your boiling point hehe However I often feel lazy at cold weathers because it's the best time to sleep, read a good book and.. sleep (^__^")

Its great that you don't feel lazy with the hotness. May be this is my habit that's why I am feeling lazy, but I am controlling it step by step. hehe funny!!! may be you are right you get annoyed with the high temperature. I hope more the temperature, more the kinetic energy of our blood and hence more blood pressure, consequently annoyness lol... Thanks for you response... Happy mylotting...

hello josephjoy!!! Yes, it would have been better if it rained. But this year, though normally we should have the rainy season, we are not getting enough rain here. This is making us so sad and worried. The major problem is for the farmers here. This is the season to plant the rice which is the food crop of we people. No rain and only this hot weather is really bothering our life so much. This is the biggest problem. I understand your problem. By the way is your room just beneath your terrace? I know my uncles room is just below the terrace and how it feels to sleep in that room. He is bound to sleep in the floor... Thanks for your response...happy mylotting...

Hello again Josephjoy!!! I thought you lived in the top floor. Yes, when the weather is really bad, no matter where we sleep its still hot. I am always feeling sleepy and headache here. Here about three weeks ago there was a bit more rain. But it has again stopped now. The rainy season has turned dry. The climate is really changing to the bad mode. Whom to blame for... Let's hope that it will rain soon there and here too... Thanks for commenting back...Happy mylotting...

Hi Nzal, I think you need a lemon to keep you awake! Somehow, sour fruits like limes and lemons are good at keeping people awake, especially on hot afternoon or after a heavy lunch. Singapore is extremely hot and humid these few days. I dont mind the heat, but hate the humidity. Humidity is always more than 95%. During a hot day, the sweat never dries, and make T-shirt sticks to body, very irritating.

Hello Scheng!!! The great news is that I am controlling myself in full pace. I haven't sleep at day time since 3 days now. I have reduced the habit of sleeping a lot. I haven't think about eating the sour fruits like lemon to keep me awake. I think I should try it sometimes. And yes, it is humidity that makes more irritating. When there is hot, there is certainly humidity too... Thanks for your response...happy mylotting...

Hi Nzal, Singapore is very hot too! And being an island near equator, just one degree north of the equator, the hot and humid weather is making a lot of people sick. Somehow virus and germs love this kind of weather. The stupid weather forecast does not help. When they predict a period of dry spell for a month, we face sudden storm! Sour fruits are best for concentration, and study. You can try it. Best to squeeze the lemon, use the juice to make iced lemon drinks, and then soak the lemon skins in water for shower!

For me , hot weather never makes me sleepy. It makes me hard to sleep. Ya . It is difficult when you are in a class during summer. But i like sunny weather . I hate winter season, because the weather will be gloomy and will make me drowsy. But , this time , the weather is too hot. It irritates the skin a lot.

Lazy and sleep, almost the same thing to me. When I feel lazy I feel too much asleep, Feeling asleep makes me lazy hehe...On day time, it is easier to sleep if it is hot, it will automatically increase the attraction between my eyelids to get it closed lol...Yes, but in nighttime, it is difficult to resist, many minutes, even hours pass just turning this side and then that side... I feel comfortable in winter than this hot season... Thanks for you response...Happy mylotting...

Ha ha, that happened to me too. In my class I'm one of people who sit in the first line, closest to the teacher. And today in my Physics class, I felt so tired and hot weather just make me even more lazy. Then I start to cling to the table and I really am sleepy. I tried to open my eyes and not to sleep. Because my teacher is sooooo polite that I know he won't wake me up when I sleep, I know I will feel bad if I sleep, but I really can't resist. Ended up with I sleep for 20 minutes. I really am guilty.

Hehe felelis!!!, being a student you should not sleep when the teacher is teaching...But what to do friend, its difficult to sustain, you know I know hehe...Today, I was so brave with myself, determined to fight with my laziness lol...Luckily I was just at the attention when the teacher asked me a question. It was a simple question, I would have been fool if I was being unable to give attention. Actually the teacher asked me because he saw me feeling lazy... Be brave, fight with your laziness until the last second of your class hehe... Good luck...Happy mylotting...

Hello piya84!!! Hot weather really makes us feel lazy and irritated. I like to sleep in the day time, and it becomes difficult to control sometimes. Well through this thread, I knew that the sour fruits can be good for staying alive and concentrated. Check out the response given by Scheng1 above in the page before. Personally I haven't tried it yet. But will try on.... Good luck!!! Happy mylotting...

Yes it is really sometimes bad experience during college life. Well this year it is so hot and I am unemployed also so I am avoiding go out so that I can't feel the heat of sun. I am spending most of the time at home only sitting in front of either computer or TV. Hope I will either get admission for my Masters Degree or a great job.

Hello rakesh284!!! Yes, this year it is very very hot than the previous years. I hope this trend will go on and on and the next year, it will be more hot than this. This is all due to the Global warming that temperature is rising each year by more than about 1 degree centigrade I think. I don't know, how we will be able to survive the coming years with this trend...I also hate to go out, But I am bound. Especially when I return from the college, I have work under direct sun and feels like the sun is sucking my energy. Then most of the time, like you I prefer to stay in home nowadays. I have totally reduced the habit of going outside unless it is very necessary and like you I am mostly spending time on the computer. Anyway, wish you for the bright future whether you chose the Job or the further study...Good luck... Thanks for your response...Happy mylotting...

Hello xannebull... Yes, I agree with you. As I have been telling here in this thread, I really feel irritated with the present weather. I always feel like to sleep in the day time, which will cause me so much headache. This is just opposite case in you and mine. Yes, I have got some similar response like you saying feeling sleepy in the cold weather rather than the hot weather. May be its neither hot weather, not cold weather that makes us feel lazy, in fact, it is our own laziness from inside hehe... But I can't reject that it is hot weather that makes me feel headache and irritated. Hot and humid is the worst weather that I don't like... Thanks for your response xannebull...Happy mylotting...

Yes hot weather can really affect our moods. That's true that you are in a class to hot and your sweeting more and more. Sometimes it can make us lazy to do the job for it is not conducive . But if there is an aircon it is alright.

Hello geniuster!!! Yeah, the main problem for me is in the class. In the class I feel too much sleepy, sometimes, it become very hard to open the eyes. I tend to fight with the sleepiness more than concentrating what the teacher is saying. I really have a difficult time in the class room. Like you said, having an air conditioner would be better. But we don't have that thing in the class room. There is the ceiling fan. But the place I sit is far away from the fan, so I have to suffer. so, I remain in class lazy and sweating like you mentioned... Thanks for your response...Happy mylotting...

Hot humid weather does make me very lazy, and usually I hybernate during the day, when the weather gets that bad. I go out early in the morning, because it's so nice, and then I go out in the evening hours. In between, I stay home and put on my air conditioner. However, all of you here seem to be getting the hot weather instead of us. In June, we should be getting pretty warm weather, not necessarily hot, but at least warm. Instead we have been getting 60 degree weather, and alot of rain. We have had almost 5 days of rain in a row, now, and it's rained almost all during the spring. It's supposed to be summer here, as of June 21st, but it feels like the fall. Definitely horrible weather.

Everything is changing and the abnormal weather are arising in all parts of the world. Thanks for your response.... Happy mylotting...

You are right angel....The temperature nowadays is unbearable even in the early morning at around 8am...i go to college at this time and by the time i reach the college i am all sweaty...my body has to be blamed a bit because i am a bit fat but the weather is really hot...it's the rainy season already and still there is no sign of rain at all....and at daytime nowadays even if i walk couple of blocks i feel tired and i am all sweaty again...so i generally stay home and keep my fan always on...this hot weather is of course maing me lazy..after i return from my college i just lay down on my bed and i don't even realise i am asleep until i wake up 3 hours later....and i don't even feel like doing anything whole day..then when the sun starts to go down then i come out and start to hang out with my friends....so the only thing that can save me(or i should save us) is the rain...so i am waiting for the rain and hoping that it will come soon...i think you guys should hope the same as well....happy mylotting at last..

Hello Devil23!!! First of all welcome to the world of mylot. I hope you will enjoy a lot here!!! I understand your problem. I see you sweating most of the time. The weather is really very hot and the most disgusting thing is that there is no rain. The greater problem is for the farmers. This time, it is very late already to plant the rice. This is the very bad thing, I think never happened in the previous history. The climate has really changed a lot. Yesterday, there was a bit rain but not enough isn't it? Well let's hope for the better days to come. And I hope you had the good sleep last night due to rain. Like you I also feel like to sleep for hours. But I am controlling myself to greater extent. What I learnt is that when sleepy if I slept then I will feel more headache and uncomfortable when I wake up. so, I am getting careful nowadays... Thanks for your response...Happy mylotting...

Hi nzalheart, the situation here is similar as yours. It does not rain for a couple of weeks or so. The air around is extremely hot. There is dust flying here and there after every vehicle passing by. I feel really lazy to go out under the scorching sun as well as the dusty air outside I will sweat easily after doing even a little work. I feel so lazy to go out or doing any work. I prefer to rest in the reclining chair under the fan either listening to music or watching tv. I always feel drowsy during hot weather. How nice if I could enjoy a wonderful siesta in the afternoon. Anyway I still have to go to office as usual in time though I feel reluctant Happy posting

Hello ikbooi!!! The hot season is really irritating to all the people. This thread tells how irritating the hot season is. Hot and humid weather is the worst of all, very irritating and don't want to carry on with the daily work. It is always creating headache. And if i watch the television, it instead of causing relaxed causes me more headache as soon as I stop watching the TV. Its' just irritating. But the life has to go on. I think the mid day heat makes a person lazy. I'd like to still be out there working in my yard but it's sooo muggy & humid out I don't really want to until after dinner & then the skeeters will be out to make lunch out of me. I really just need to get up earlier when the sun gets up and get my outside things done.

That's good to dominate and dissolve the laziness though we feel lazy due to hotness. That's why I am trying to do on and on. And I find me getting on the track. I used to wait some minutes before I get out of bed, though my eye opens. But now, I don't think twice and just wake up. Thinking more makes us lazy, what has to be done, should be done fast actively, isn't it? Thanks for your response snuggleBunnies...happy mylotting...

Hello reckon!!! Yes you are right. Sometimes the hot weather makes me short tempered too. I don't feel right with the environment which makes me so much irritated. And this irritation tends to make me angry or short tempered. I don't like to do anything nice and it makes me more irritated. More irritated, more angry, more angry more irritated. The chain process hehe...But if only if let myself get irritated... Thanks for your response....Happy mylotting...

Not really lazy but more like exhausted because too much heat would make me drain some more energy so i would get tired earlier than usual. I would sweat profusely which isn't good because that means i'll be dehydrated in no time. So i need to replenish by drinking water. I guess laziness comes next when i'm already tired because i don't think i would be motivated to work in such condition.
