How would you describe your father?

Hi everyone! :) Father's day is near.. Having grown up without a father, I honestly don't know the feeling of having a real one. Although I may have uncles who stood as a father to me and of course my mom who also acts as a father to us, I believe nothing still compares to having a real dad. So, how would you describe your father? What are the lessons you learned from him? What are the things you liked about him? What is that one thing you'll never forget of him? And to all the fathers: HAPPY Father's day continue to be role models for your children and may God bless you and your family..

Hi cecille, I didn't have a mother, i don't know the feeling of having a eal mom beside me. but I grown up to be with my dad. He is simply the best, he was a good provider to me and my brother. he guides us always, he is a strict one as well. there are a lot of lesson that i have leaned from him, about career, bout patience, life and love. He is very protective of me and my bro that's what we like most about him. There are a lot of things that I won't forget about him. hehe too many to mention. hehe :d Happy Mylotting. :)

My father is a very nice person. He is my guide and well wisher. He spent a lot of money for me. He took care of all my expenses till 23 years of my age. He is very caring and kind enough to listen to me whenever I have problems. He gives me lots of courage and helps me to take correct decisions whenever possible. He daily prays for me. He waits for my phone call daily......and a lot more. It will extend the maxium character limit to write here...I love my dad so much.

Don't feel bad. I had a father. What I learned from him was that no matte what I could only rely on my mother, grandfather, or grandmother for things. All mine did was sit in his easy chair. We do not have a relationship. I center my fathrs Day wishes on my hubby. He shows me and our children the true meaning of father.

They say it's hard to find a family man if you don't have an idea of a fatherly figure.. I'm happy that you found the right person for you.. Happy father's day to your husband

Like all kids,I thought of him as a superman who can do anything. But as I grow up,I realized he is an average family man but with good morals. He is my freedom and at the same time lock for me.He allows me only to the extent he believes safe.He wants to say the lost word always which I like to respect.Even at this age he is my mental and moral support.Cheers!

I can really say that my dad is the best dad in the whole world ( no offense to your dad's guys. LOL).. He is quiet but authoritative. He helps us in whatever things we need, he taught us that education is important, and that family is our number one priority. He taught us never to be selfish, and to help all those in need. I love you Pa! ( I know he won't ever get to read this, cause he only uses the net to play chess and to check out sports stuff. LOL. )

My father passed away 22 years ago this month. I still miss him. He was perhaps the biggest influence on my life. He was my mentor, my rock and my very best friend. I miss him always and think of him always. As a little girl...back in the 60's it was not common for little girls to play sports etc. He taught me every sport there was and encouraged me much to my mom's dismay. He did not believe in "gender roles" and believed that all things in life should be learned by both sexes. Likewise, he taught my brother's to cook, sew, housework etc. We all learned the love of music and art from him as well as the importance of education. As a teen, he pushed me to never be dependent on a man like my mom was on him. It just wasn't practical. Their marriage lasted but many in the 70's were falling apart. When he passed, my mom not only was devestated but she had been out of the workforce for over 30 years!! He took care of her and all the bills. She did not even know how much money they had or how to go about paying the bills. Because of the parent that my dad was...I strive to be as good a parent....always falling a bit short but whenever I am not sure what to do or how to react, I stop and think of how he would have handled the situation.

My father is soooooooo strict... He wants us to observe discipline.. Be at home on time, have a high grades... eat on time... etc.. And he even spank me many times.. lol.. ('cos Im so booly)... But I love him. I am succesful now because of the things he thought us. Having a very disciplinarian dad is a hard thing but I thank God for giving him to me... Everything he though is always for good! I love you tatay. Happy father's day! PS I will buy you a car, when I afford it.. promise. :)

If there is one thing I can say about my father, he makes me want to try harder and succeed everyday. Not that he was pushy or demanding. It is just that my father is my greatest fan. You would never convince my father that we would be failures in life. When you have parents who believe in you that much, you want to try harder and you want to see their faces when you succeed because it is like looking into the face of someone who would never be surprised when you achieve something because they never expected anything less.

Father's Day is near. That is why I always make it special for my dad. He is the most wonderful man. My father is the quiet and no-fuss type. I love him because he is a very responsible man. To add, he is understanding, selfless, loyal, and trustworthy. When I make mistakes, he doesn't get mad. When I want something, he gives it to me provided it is within reason and that I deserve it. The most valuable lesson I learned from him is responsibility and diligence. He really loves his family and wants the best for all of us. That is what I love most about him.

my dad is well, he can make me real happy and make me real mad! he is a typical male chauvinist but often shows his love for me in small ways. i learnt from him that once you made your decisions, live with it. if you're regretted your decision make do and do your best. though he doesn't say he loves me, but i knwo he does by the things he does. he is not a man who voices out his feelings anyway.

Description of my father - a strong courageous man who is willing to give and sacrifice his all to make sure that not only his kids but also his siblings and their kids - will or can have a good life. Lessons that I learned from Dad - be strong and courageous. Love with all your heart. Never do anything half-@$$. Most importantly, love God. Things that I liked about him - he would take me and my sisters shopping (back in the day) to buy ANYTHING, while mom is a tad bit stingy with the cash. =P One that I'll never forget about Dad - the way he loves mom and it shows, not only to his kids - but to everyone. It's so romantic. =P Happy Father's day - to all dads!

My father is very strict one. He is very autocratic, he will get easily mad if some things did not done by me. Even tho he is like that I still love him so much , I know he did it for our behaviour to be also good citizen like him. He did not finished schooling because his teachers also scolding him as a young boy. He got a quarrel of his adviser. Still I can't choose now that fathers day is coming soon I will say "HAPPY FATHERS DAY TO YOU DAD. thanks fo revrything you have done for us.
