Niche marketing

So, I want to start blogging for cash... I was going to start a movie review blog, which I might still do but I think it will probably be more for fun then anything now...
What I am wondering is this: How do I even find a niche? I mean, I guess I could try to do a key word search but I am not exactly sure how that works.
I guess I am asking is how does one find a niche? Especially in a blog situation?

I’ve come across a program many times, while surfing in the traffic exchanges, that offers you free an idea for a niche per day.I never looked into it, since I’m not interested in the matter myself (for me it would be like creating another job), but I recognized the people who run that program, and they are well known and trust-worthy. It might be something for you. If you want to, add me as friend, and when I come across it again I’ll send you the url.

Is the site you're thinking about called nicheaday.com by any chance? I get daily emails from them with a niche idea and keyword breakdown.

Your niche is movie as you mentioned. I believed that you are talking about keyword, then you can use adwords keyword tool for reference, the most important is you shall have unique quality content.
