Hi everybody do you unplugged your network cable at the time of raining. Its rainy season in our country and any time it can occur. At the time of raining the network cable should be unplugged. We can protect our computer by using UPS.But the network cable is directly connected with the motherboard which have no protected device connected directly with it.So at the time of thundering a huge electron can be passed from ur lan card which are directly connected with motherboard. So disconnected your network cable at the time of raining.

If its raining I dont usually bother disconnecting or even shut down for that matter my desktop, of course laptops work on battery. When its a bad power storm I do unplug my cable but most of the times I work with the wifi. When am really in the midst of something important I just continue, but make sure I finish my work sooner.

Yes, I do. I do agree with you that such situation may damage your network. So just to be safe, I unplugged the cable. Not only that, I also unplugged some of my electrical appliances when there are heavy lightnings and thunderstorms.

I am not agree with your system i think you should disconnect it.Because at the time of thundering a lot of electron produced at the thundering place and if it can touch your network cable it will pass through it.Thanks for the reply.

I usually turn off my computer and remove the plug. Thank you foe spreading your knowledge about this high voltage in rainy season. It could literally demolish your computer. Unless you have a lightning conductor you wouldn't be safe. Even a stabilizer would not work in this case. Really, the more advantGes of the Internet the more the disadvantages

Usually if there's a storm or lightning, yes. I'll sometimes leave the router plugged though, so I can use wireless internet through my laptop, which can run alone on just a battery. =)

Ok friend you have choose the right way to save your laptop.I think wired line in laptop is totally annoying.Laptop is a movable machine so it`s networking system should be wireless.I like your choice. Thanks for replay me.Take care.By.
