Best Anti virus program?

Which do you think best in Anti virus application. There are hundreds of anti virus application. Some are for price and some are for free. Which do you think as best?

I agree with you Kaspersky is outstanding. In addition to that list I recommend Norton Internet security 2009. To me its the fastest antivirus I have ever used and the detection rate is only a percent less than avira. Avira detection rate is 99.7 if I remember correctly but the drawback as with everything that is great is that it has a lot of false positives which means that many times it wrongly detects something as a virus. But if you want an excellent antivirus you can't go wrong with Norton internet security 2009 or Kaspersky internet security 2009. AVG is the best free antivirus out there iv been using it for over 2 years now and its kept my laptop safe.

Right now i am using AVG anti virus for free. I dont have any problem using it. So i can say that i am protected by AVG. I make sure that it was up to date always so virus can be seen easily.
For me its the best anti virus, dont have yet plan to upgrade it since it gives me protection.
