Right now I'm working part time at a clothing retail store and I absolutely love it for a summer job. I'm in college right now and so therefore its a job that I had during high school and my boss can use me on breaks when it gets busier so it completely works out.
Now my dream job is being an AP correspondent in Washington DC. I love writing, journalism, and politics so its the best job for me plus I'm not shy and a complete people person so things like interviews etc. come natural to me. The only downfall is hours because there are times you are working 9-5 and then BAM a story hits and you have to go out at 9 PM and be up till 2-3 AM making sure the story is done in time for the next day - for me I don't mind that but that is the biggest thing I tell people when they're debating a job in journalism.

Well I am 17 also just like you and I am also a student. But on the weekends I work for a seafood restaurant to earn money. Also while I have time I come to sites like myLot to make a little extra money on the side to supplement a little spending money. It's important to find out what you like to do as that will help you decide what you want to do. For example, I love messing around with computers and programs so I figure I'll go to college for computer science or something related and in my spare time I study programming online. The first step to finding a job you like is to figure out what you like to do, and if you can do that and make money then you have it made.
