PS3 or XBOX 360

I am planning on buying a next-gen console and was wondering what you guys think i should get. Some people say that the graphics on the Ps3 are better than the graphics on the Xbox360. And others say that Xbox 360 makes better games overall. What should i get??

I'd say PS3 because it's graphics are better. Xbox doesn't make better games, they just have some games which aren't on PS3.

You also have to consider alternatives to platform specific games. When one game system gets an exclusive game, the other tries to match it by making a similar one.
For instance, Resistance: Fall of Man (PS3) and Gears of War (360) are very similar and both platform specific.

I am bias and would always say the PS3 as I love mine! The graphics are fantastic, the games are brilliant, it has a wireless controller, just everything about it is fantastic. My neoighbour has an xbox360 and he hates it he says that it makes loads of noise and he is on his second one as the fan broke on the first one (luckily he had insurance). I personally would go for a ps3 but its up to you at the end of the day! No-one has to play it apart from you!

Yeah i was thinking about the ps3. Ive seen the graphics and they're awesome. the thing holding me back was that i am just worried about how expensive it is. Ive heard about all of the problems the the 360 had but ive also heard that microsoft fixed those issues. Thanks for the info ^^

I have a PS3. My friend has an Xbox360.
Before you decide you should think through these things:
The Xbox360 requires that you buy an Xbox Live subscription to play online (and keep buying them!). It is said that the Xbox360 has a larger player base for games, meaning more people to play with.
On the other hand, the PS3 has free online play. You may also here there are less players for this system.
As for the look and feel, I have to say the Xbox360 has a nice controller. I hate the way they named their buttons, but I love the bumpers! The PS3 controller isn't bad though. Both are wireless. I like the PS3's XMB style menu. I can't comment too much on the 360's because I haven't had too much experience with it, but from what I've seen, I don't like it very much.
I vote PS3 for you! Good luck with a decision.

I love the 360. Seems like there's more games. I also love the achievements. It makes me wonder how I played games before without being rewarded! PS3 did recently come out with trophies but it's still not as cool!
