Have You Read Ted Dekker?

A few weeks ago I started a book by Ted Dekker, titled Showdown. (My son has read the book.) The first chapter had some disturbing scenes, but I thought maybe it would get better and continued reading for 4 or 5 chapters. That night I had a nightmare that woke me up and I kept replaying it in my mind. One of the disturbing things from the book was in my dream. I decided I could not read the rest of the book. I do not usually have nightmares about things I have seen or read. Have you read Ted Dekker? What did you think of his books? Do you ever have a disturbing dream because of something you have read?

ya , i have read Ted Dekker's books. They are nice but luckily nothing like that nightmare happened with me due to Ted Dekker's books. But it's true that i also had a disturbing dream because of something i have read. Actually , that thing happens due to the fact that whatever we see , hear or read put's an impact on our conscious & unconscious mind & when we goes into sleep , it start's replaying.....i think be the reason...

I'm sure you are right about the reason for the nightmare. Because I had just read about some things. For that reason I think I should not read Ted Dekker's books. At least not Showdown. Are all his books disturbing and gross?
