pet peeve from mylotters

I have seen that happen alot at Mylot over the years too. I go on and respond to theirs though because I want to respond to alot of discussions daily if possible. I am not sure if helps them more or myself.

No i don't get irritated. It depends upon the topic. When my friends did not reply to my discussion its fine and I still response to their discussion maybe my discussion don't have their interest. But when the scenario is this, when I have a discussion that I have a problem and I need someone to console me and no one replied to my discussion, it really broke my heart but still I response to their discussion if they need me. We should not expect that everyone is there for us when we are need. They should be thankful for us because we are always there for them. Godbless.

Oh dear, I hope I am not one who has peeved you lately. You so kindly respond to all my discussions. And I admit, my participation here lately has been erractic at best. It is likely to remain this way through the summer with my high energy, full of life little guy to keep busy. .....lovin' every minute of it!

Not just you but me. I encountered some people like that as well. All they know is to post discussions but they don't know how to return the favor to friends who have been supporting them all the way. Well I stopped supporting them after sometime of giving them chance. I don't respond to their posts anymore. I've in fact turned off my notification to those kind of friends. I know those friends who are not coming regularly so I don't really mind if they don't respond to my post but those people who are very active here but not responding at all, I simply can't tolerate.

It would be nice if they would return the favor. Some people are more on starting than responding I guess.

well antuiqe lady, the most money on my mylot is made from posting yourself, so in the end you winning both ways. let them be selfish, it benefits them to to respond to your discussions so let them miss out

I've seen some that only start, they don't respond to other people's discussions. I don't care that much, but I have flat out told them that if they want to make it here, they'd better start. Guess what? Most of them are gone now.

Add me as a friend. I'll respond to some of your discussions...Yeah some mylotters are like that. I notice that there are some people who do nothing but create discussions on here and never once reply to any of their friends discussions.I've had friends on my list that never replied to any of my discussions but yet I have replied once-ten times on their discussion but yet they delete me as a friend for no reason.I have deleted some people off my friends list before but only if they do something really rude to me that pi$$es me off, I don't take people's crap offline so why should I take it online?.I do have to admit that I can't reply to every single person's discussion daily. There are some day's that I don't even log-in this site. I was gone for almost 2 months awhile back and when I came back a lot of friends deleted me and I thought it was pretty rude considering I was in the hospital for surgery and I couldn't sit on my computer chair for over a month because of the pain I had after surgery. So if I vanish from mylot for a long amount of time it means something serious is going on in my life .

I think it happens to a lot of us and some of us don't pay any mind to it. I try to answer as much as I can IF it's something that I have some knowledge on or have something to add to it but the one's that I don't, I'll skip over. Then again, being that it's summer again, we're all trying to catch up on outside things that need doing and I fit in that category. Sometimes I get so far behind that I'll keep the discussions for about 2 or 3 weeks and comment on it even though it's so late to let the person know that I haven't forgotten them OR I'll give up and delete it from my in box. But I'm with you on this, if you're commenting on one persons discussions and they never answer to yours, I don't think I'd like that too much either.

YES! (I think I might have the same girl on my list!) Not to mention the fact all her discussions are re-hashed versions of the same thing, over and over again! Maybe this person is only interested in making money, and not in making friends or enjoying other people's discussions?

Actually I did have that same experience. When I started out here it was just for the heck of it. I responded to most interesting discussions I could find. then when I don't get much responses on my discussions. That totally blew me off. But who am I to blame anyone anyway. Maybe my discussions aren't so interesting or maybe it's just me. So nowadays, I really don't care if no one responds to my discussions. I just go and do what I like doing here the most. Browse around for interesting discussions and responding to those that I think I have something to say. Quite easy really. It's not even for the money. It's for the experience. And it sure gets rid of my boredom of doing nothing in my spare time. I do however really enjoy reading a lot of interesting opinions here. cheers!

Hi ANTIQUELADY , It happens all the time, so much so that i have stopped caring about it now. I try to answer all the discussions and very few people participate in a discussion started by me. But I make it a point to participate in all the discussions that interest me, and particularly the ones that heave no responses. barring a few newcomers the rest just don't bother to reciprocate...

hello Antiquelady, That is really disappointing. Before, I had experienced it but I just ignored if that person would respond to my discussions or not. I'm just hoping that no one feels the same to me, and I hope that person is not me... :)

I see this happening also, almost makes me feel like what I have to say doesn't count :'(

Just seen this discussion of yours as I have been out of town and just came back this evening. I am really guilty if I don't response to any of your discussions as you have been a regular responder to many of my discussions. I have noticed the same trend among my friends whom I have supported in the past but never come to give me their support. Of course it is a bit disappointing to note that they keep posting new discussions but never bothered to return favor. I don't expect them to come to my every discussions as I can understand that they might not be able to relate to certain topics. Giving a shot to at least one or two response to a friend's discussion means a lot and as a form of goodwill and show that the bond of friendship is working as it should be.

Yes, my dear Jo....yes, yes! It is so annoying....and sometimes I am the culprit, but I truly try and let you know that I will be away from computer! I do have several that have asked for friendship, and then fill my inbox with discussions that are inconsequential one-liners or just fill my in-box! Like you, I make an effort to respond......but THANK GOODNESS....EVERY ONCE IN A WHILE....I END UP WITH A SPECIAL FRIEND.....LIKE YOU! You can't be replaced ... my angel! Cheers!

I really hate those people. I always respond to many discussions everyday. But when i make a discussion I only get two or three response hardly. Is this how you show your your gratitude towards us? They don't even bother to write at least one line. I strongly agree with your point and even I have decided the same.

I get regulars not mentioning any names ,who always answer me and I tend to make a point of looking for them.As long as you have your say don't worry about it,do what I do go on and look for new friends hang on to the best ones though ,please don't desert me.you are fun.

I haven't had this to happen yet. I have started a few discussions that I haven't gotten any responses to. I have also started some that I only got one or two responses to. It's hard to respond to all of the discussions, especially if it's a subject I don't know anythng about. In that case, I just don't respond to it. I thought I had to respond to all of the discussions that were sent to me when I first joined mylot. Kathy.
