I haven't been a huge fan of this show, but I did start watching it every week now that the new season is on. My son - who is 10 - loves watching their little ones go on their adventure. This season they have gone so many great places and have neat episodes coming up.
The one thing I don't like is all the family drama. I feel bad for them, but anythign that goes wrong, they can chose to air or not to air and if the program causes martial issues, then maybe they should stop.
I ran across this opinion article on the 100th show that ran last night. Give ya something to think about if you are a fan

I was not a fan of the show.
I become a fan of the drama that is displayed on the magazines, it is similar to the jen-angelina-brad triangle, (I put Brad last cause really, why should he get to be between two ladies-lol)
It is hard to know what's real or not, or if they are in it together, create drama to bring the ratings higher, that was a popular show, and the perks are very good from what I have read (a free and cute custom vespa for Kate, wow)

The drama just seems created. They had the 1st episode where Job & Kate were visibly not getting along. Every episode since they act like NOTHING Is wrong. Just doesn't make sense.
Other perks: their house was paid for by TLC and they get money per episode - like $72K!!

Kate is pretty crazy. I caught a special on E! (I think) that showed how she first looked and how as the TV show progressed she has completely changed her look. She used to look like the Mom next door, now not so much. She has always been so mean to Jon and the better she looks, the more cruel she is!

I am impressed.
On the Soup the show a clip of Kate going nuts over Jon not taking a coupon, she wanted the receipt like she could still get the coupon and discount, I was thinking, I am not like that and I should probably be, now it just sound petty on her part (well before it sounded bossy and a word that rhymes with twitch.)

I've only watched it a couple of times mainly because all the press it's getting. I just can't believe they made a show of this and I agree if they really want the marriage to work end the show but she has said this is their career now and the way they make the money. Pennsylvania is now looking into child labor laws and if they are in violation, so it may or may not continue.

I heard about the child labor thing. I have a feeling that will be dropped. The kids arent' working, its not scripted they are just doing their day to day stuff.

I've heard it all and watch occassionally and all, but just gotta say...where's the news in all this? I mean.. this is most definately NOT the first time a marriage has had "get along" problems... nor the first time a marriage has had what is pointing to an affair...nor the first time two people in a marriage have not gotten along.. etc etc etc.
So I just don't get why the hoopla? Yeah, they are a "hollywood" couple and in the lime light.. but again.. they are not the first for any of this.. so why don't the media let them alone? If TLC is not happen with how the show is going... they can cancel them. Good grief.. after what Octomom did.. and she just signed a contract for 18 years to do the same thing Jon and Kate are doing.. and no one has said a word, no hoopla from the media... not on the cover of hte magazines...
I think at least they were honest about things... many times I tuned in and wondered.. boy, how does he stand her.. she is always critizing him, he never smiles, she is always on his case, etc yet he never says anything derogatory to her or appears to complain about it. Granted.. don't know the other side of the story... all we know is what we see. And it seems since they know the problem exists...they are at least accomodating it intelligently... and not sitting together and all....at least they are being honest and not lieing about how things are when thanks to the media... we know so much more.

I'm sorry that all this family drama is ensuing for them. I hope the kids get a chance to grow up normally. It is sad that all this stuff has to happen. I think that there are only so many things that little kids houls have to deal with. I just think it is too much. advantages and disadvanatges.

The show has been on a few years - I think in its 6th season - and they just his 100 episodes. Doesn't sound like they record shows very often. Yeah the kids are around the camera, but I think they are benefiting so much more from the show. I'd bet 95% of what they get to do, they wouldn't do w/o the show.

I have not ever watched the show because I feel its just not right to give these people a show of their own just because they have so many children. Just like the Octomom they are rewarding her even though she was selfish in deciding to get pregnant again. She didn't care about bringing all these babies into a world where she couln't support them. So now we will give her a tv show and give her all this money so she can support these kids. The show is going to fall flat on its face.

I don't think octomom should have a show at all. Jon & Kate were supporting the kids before they got the show, same goes for the Duggars and that other family with 10 kids.

Now - I must admit that I have never really watched a full episode of this show..I was always aware that the show existed but never gave it much thought...In my opinion the show wasn't even super popular (outside the TLC world) until the whole family drama happend...I too fell bad for the kids....A part of me thinks that the drama is actually exaggerated to make the show more popular....just a thought...

I haven't watched much of this show this season as I feel that the drama that we are seeing should be handled without the cameras. I believe that Jon and Kate can survive all of this if they are both willing to do it and the media stays out of it. I seen a few minutes of the show on Monday and it looked as they were getting along. I wonder if part of this is made up for ratings.

I have watched this show a little, mainly before all of the drama began, but also once or twice since then. I can say it has never been one of those shows that I just have to see. I honestly can't help but wonder if all of the drama is actually a way to pull in higher ratings though. If it's not, and the show is what is causing so many problems in their marraige, you would think that they would just give it up and go on with their lives. If there is something else that is the root source, than I can't help but wonder with all that they have said on television, why not just get it out in the open and deal with it. If they want to put the money ahead of their marriage and family, that is their mistake, if it is merely a way to pull higher ratings, they should find a better way to do it.

I have watched the show a number of times. I don't like watching and am not anymore! Kate is a *itch and Jon is a hen pecked husband! I mostly stopped watching because of Kate! Now i feel for the 8 kids! They are caught in the middle and I wish they would take the show off the air! Both parents have become spoiled with the money and freebies form doing their show. Kate more then Jon. I hope they aren't spending all that money on themselves! I pray to God they have set up college funds for all 8 kids! If not,Kate and Jon are more selfish then I thought!

I only watched the show occasionally but I now have a friend who is interested in the show and as a result, I've started watching it. They actually live close to me and shop at the same places I go to and so that makes me more interested in their lives. I absolutely adore the kids and I don't know how the show is going to affect them. Kate always seems so abusive towards Jon and I've pointed it out numerous times before all the tabloids started reporting problems and it seems like it's finally escalated. This season's premier was just about them talking about how unsure they were of the future and they haven't seem to have made any kind of decision which is going to hurt their relationship more.

I cannot help but feel horrible for these kids. Having to get up, and do what this stranger with a big machine tells you to do. Not a normal childhood. They're gonna have big problems when they grow up.

I kind of hate that show simply because of all the drama. The wife clearly is loving the spotlight.
