Here we go! one bad bounce could cost the team their season and one fortunate bounce could make a team's season. Fleury and Osgood both live for these moments. They're clutch performers when it comes to do or die time. The "super heroes" were non existant in game 6. Zets and Datsyuk showed flashes of brilliance but didn't have the finish. Crosby and Malkin were kept quiet, as was Hossa. Crosby reminds me a lot, in these situations, of Kobe Bryant in terms of his intensity level in these moments. He took over the Washington series when things started to look bleak and he dominated Carolina because he knew he had to. And when it becomes all about Crosby, Malkin gets set free as well. I think the Penguins are really going to show up for this game. But they are against Detroit, in Detroit. I building they just can't seem to win in. They lose their matchup and that lets Zets and Datsyuk loose. Game six was all about the supporting cast and Pittsburgh's will be that much better. But game seven will be all about the superstars and in their home rink, none of them are better than Zets and Datsyuk. Without the match-ups I just don't see Pittsburgh being able to contain those two.

That last change is key?I guess so/ I was happy to see Hank and Dats together on the same line. But was it me or did The Wings look flat?

They did look flat but that's because the Penguins got their match-ups. Staal was out against Zetterberg while Datsyuk and Zetts both had to deal with Scuderi all night. They were able to get Malkin and Crosby out against the third and fourth lines of Detroit thanks to some double shifting and last change. In Detroit it's different. Malkin and Crosby will always run into Zets, Datsyuk, Lidstrom and Rafalski. They will have no breathing room and Pittsburgh will look flat. It takes good coaching to set up the match-ups it takes great coaching to avoid the match-ups on the road. Babcock has been in a difficult spot trying to get Datsyuk back into the line-up and move him around a bit without breaking up the chemistry which has hindered his ability a little bit to avoid the match-ups in Pittsburgh. Bylsma is a rookie coach and has been great at managing his stars but he hasn't been able to out play Babcock in that regard. Which is essentially why Pittsburgh hasn't been able to pull it together in Detroit. His players are stuck, roughed up all night and given no room to breath, and more often than not, he can't get Scuderi and company out there against Detroit's top line. The players are going to show up. It's game seven. The coaches have a role to play too and this is where Babcock will either show his experience and wealth or Bylsma will prove to the world that Pittsburgh didn't make a mistake hiring a rookie coach to take them to the promise land.

Game 7 - anything goes. My prediction is a Pittsburgh win. Crosby, Malkin get their first Cup. It'll start off tight, then it'll go end to end but eventually, lots of goals will be scored. Matt Cooke scores the winner. How's that for an outrageous forecast?

No matter who wins, It's been a good series. I just think the gods are against Hossa. You can't just take the easy route like that. He dissed the Penguins majorly doing what he did. He wasn't willing to pay the price to make the second-best team last year to become the best. He has basically been a passenger on the Wings, although I have to admit he was great in the last 2 games in the Chicago series.
