I have been addictied to the internet and find it very very engorsing, but the earnings are too low to be called as part time or a kind of self employment. Do you consider working online to be a part time or self employment?

It all depends upon what you are doing online. I make more online writing than I did in the print market. According to the IRS rules, I am self-employed, even if other people (such as my wife and friends) do not think that I am; it is my sole source of income and I am treating it like a business. It is not what I meant to do for a living; but after getting laid off and deciding to start college (ripe age of forty), it is starting to actually look like true self-employment.

I've been working on-line for the past 18 months on a straight commission basis. I would say I'm working full-time hours and earning a part-time income. Fortunately the company I signed up for,has been honest and has paid me three times so far. I am expecting another commission payment next month. It does help to pay the rent but I could make more working at a part-time job outside of the home ... if I could land one! I guess some money is better than no money, especially if you are unemployed. I would consider myself self-employed as I do claim my earnings on my annual income tax.

Uhm no, my online earnings are not even good enough to be called and actual income in the truest sense of the phrase. Though it is an income of sorts but more like for extra spending cash or just to add to the savings. Though I am using my online earnings as a funding for my business group subject course. So the earnings are treated as income for added business operations and the like. It would be nice to earn something online that is considered as actual income. An earning large enough to at least cover the monthly electric bill. Now that would be a sweet job. Kind of like a self-employment or a sideline/part time job.^_^

i guess being a stay at home mom right now and still looking for a job, working online has sort of become an employment for me.i'm always on the net so i might as well make use of that time to generate some extra bucks.it's been kinda hard earning online.it's a good thing that i finally found something to work on that i can stay is stable for me when it comes to earning.but with all this,i still consider this as part time only.

Well I think it depends on the online business your joining. If it gives a high income then it would be a good self employment. Try searching on the net but be very careful with scams.
